RUBBLE MASTER’s Maximus acquisition creates growth in jobs for Dungannon site
EARLIER this year, Maximus, the Northern Irish manufacturer of mobile screen units based in Coalisland, County Tyrone, was acquired by new majority shareholder, RUBBLE MASTER (RM). RM, the Austrian crusher and screen manufacturer, invested in the Dungannon site, thereby creating new jobs in the region. RM, the world market leader in the compact crushing sector, has been growing steadily for years. With its acquisition of a majority share in Maximus, RM takes another step towards expanding its product portfolio for its customers in
order to off er them a complete range of crusher and screening technology from a single source. RM founder and CEO, Gerald Hanisch said: “We decided to invest in Maximus because their products are a good match for our RM crushers and our expansion plans. “We know the region has the expertise and specialists we need to continue our growth and further cement our position as a driver of innovation and world market leader in mobile crushing and recycling.” Günther Weissenberger, RM CFO and Managing Director of Maximus, said: “RM and Maximus have been working together

In Dungannon, work is currently proceeding on a concrete master plan in which the next steps and investments will be decided. Since the acquisition, Maximus are now planning to invest several million pounds in Dungannon and upgrade their site. Maximus Managing Director, Neil Collins said: “To this end, we’re looking for additional specialists to develop innovations for both brands and launch them on the market.”

The new investor from Austria guarantees jobs at Maximus’ production plant, and within the sales and service network are guaranteed. It also means additional qualifi ed specialists will be taken on in every department. Specifi cally, new employees are currently being sought in every technical and business sector – from welders and painters to quality management staff and sales administrators.
