Growth strategy aim for Boughton's fi rst C.C.O.


BOUGHTON Engineering, Britain’s longest established manufacturer of hook loaders and skip loaders – which now also incorporates the Oldbury defence and specialist engineering business, have announced the appointment of Graeme McGregor, as the company’s fi rst Chief Operations Offi cer (C.C.O).


The new C.C.O. brings a wealth of experience at senior levels in manufacturing and operations management to the post, having spent a large proportion of his career in the automotive and marine industries.


Graeme's background includes studying lean manufacturing at the Gemba Institute in Japan, and his qualifications include a Certificate in Management (IOM).


Skan Group Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Richard Skan said: “Graeme’s appointment is a further important and logical step in strengthening the company’s senior level


management team, and is very much in line with our plans for the further development and growth of the business.”


C.C.O. Graeme McGregor added: "I am delighted to be joining Boughton Engineering at this most interesting time.

The in-post Director of Operations, and Director of Service and Quality roles remain unchanged.
