IT'S hard to believe WASTE'18 is here and if anything it shows how fast the modern world seems to move.


Our showpiece event is being held at the splendid Warwickshire Event Centre, and I'm sure you'll all be impressed by the facilities and majestic surroundings.


We've pulled together a stellar exhibitor list this year, and for those of you who haven't attended our annual event before I'd urge you to rock up on the day and you'll get a great glimpse of the future of the industry.


We'll be reporting in detail about WASTE'18 in our next edition, so if you are at the show come and chat with us and who knows - you may be our next cover star!


There's no doubting exhibitions are being questioned by companies at this moment of time, and there's a feeling out there that their days could be numbered.


I don't agree, because in the world of waste and recycling there will also be a slot for the personal touch and there's nothing better than a face to face with a supplier or new custome. No matter what happens with regards electronic media, this side of the business will never be replaced by anything technological.

Shows are often the only way of getting everyone together at the same time, despite the attempts of some to circumvent these with company days -


which are simply blatant attempts to sell.


For those of you attending for the first time, or for old friends of the magazine, make sure to say hello to a member of the team.


We're a friendly bunch here, and we all love chatting with our customers and ensuring that we know what they want.


It's been a great effort on behalf of the team, and I'd like to thank them all individually for their efforts.


As always there's a glitch or two on the way, but again that's to be expected as we seek to deliver a brilliant one day option for visitors and exhibitiors.


I'm certain you'll love the event, and with top range exhibitors like Bunting Magnetics and Master Magnets, plus new entrants such as the Coventry City Council, there's loads of great options.


As always, it's sure to be a thrilling day which will create new memories for us all.
