Focus on Films & Consumables

The world of DTF films, transfers and consumables is varied and complex. You can discover just a small selection of the products available over the next few pages.

EZtrans

DTF or transfer paper: a matter of green choice When Neenah papers decided to break away from the Kimberly Clarke group some years ago now, its main aim was to make it sustainable with the materials from FSC Certified forests in the USA and to re plant more than they cut down. The future was set in stone and it still delivers today.

This green alternative that shook the marketplace up almost 20 years ago, gave the end user that feeling of recycling up to help the future of all. That is still the case today and it is the only one which is still able to certify its products as sustainable. All products are 100% made in the USA under strict scrutiny and complies with strict recycling laws which are the most enforced on the planet. A pack of transfer paper has a long line of paperwork linking it back to the tree and the chemicals used in making it.

As well as that the manufacturer decided to ensure that all papers and polymers can be safely recycled with normal paper and return to life in other paper products. The circle of sustainability began.

Not bad for a product that does not cost the earth and has excellent properties when used to print designs onto any substrate including polyesters. Perfect for the hobbyist it also sits well as it was designed to be used with a hand iron a unique approach that fits well in the current marketplace. DTF has clear advantages in the production of a product that can be simply produced with a single machine and is easy to apply.

EZtrans is your one stop Neenah paper shop

DTF on the other hand uses Polyurethane which takes decades or even centuries to break down in a landfill. It’s a type of plastic that’s resistant to environmental degradation and can release harmful chemicals into the soil in the process. Are there any advantages over transfer paper? Yes, but they are minor. They come pre-cut so no need to handle just simply apply heat and peel. From a cost point of view, it is more expensive than traditional transfer papers. An A4 sheet of transfer paper is around half the cost of DTF film. Cost saving and planet saving at the same time.
