Roland DG supports St John Ambulance mental health initiative

oland DG has supported the St John Ambulance during its new campaign to get construction workers to open up about their mental health.
The charity’s ‘Hi Vis Stress Vest’ initiative was set up after new research found 67% of people in the industry suspected a colleague to be suffering from mental health issues but felt it too diffi cult to talk about.
Working with Roland, the leading UK providers of fi rst aid training has designed a special hi vis vest that has been handed out to companies and celebrities in TV builder Tommy Walsh. The back of each jacket has a statement relating to the
struggles with mental health to encourage discussions about mental wellbeing. Stephen Davis, EMEA marketing director at Roland DG, said: “At Roland DG, we believe in the power of print to do more than just create visually striking designs – it can also help spark important conversations.

ESMA Academy to host sustainable digital textile printing online course

rinters, print service providers, manufacturers and material suppliers are invited to attend
a three-day online course covering all aspects of sustainable textile printing.
Hosted by ESMA Academy, participants will be able to learn more about application scenarios for digital textile micro-factories and made-to-measure workfl ows. Sessions will include; pre-treatment in inkjet printing, studying inks, substrates and their interactions, and sustainability analysis for textile processes and products.
Participants will receive a certifi cate after attending all theoretical and practical sessions.
Previous participants of similar online courses include Brother, Canon, Durst and Fujifi lm.
The course starts on Tuesday, May 13 and will end on Thursday, May 15.
