An enhanced range of inks
Founded 74 years ago, the company now known as Achitex Minerva is known worldwide for its customer satisfaction, sustainability programmes and consistent quality of product.
While other companies went into hibernation mode during the COVID times, Achitex Minerva used this opportunity to both further develop the Minermix Pantone Matching System incorporating hand matching of all the newly introduced Pantone colours, as well as improving its already market leading product offering.
Water-based inks have for many years been judged on how bright and soft the white is. To this end Rubber White EC, a Nike approved product, has now been launched in the UK.
Offering a bright white with matt fi nish a soft feel, and as the product names suggests, a good level of stretch for those more elastic fabrics. As you would expect from a company with over 150 GOTS approved products, Rubber White EC is of course on the GOTS approved list.
On the other end of the colour spectrum, all printers yearn for a true black when printing onto light fabrics.
Pitch Black fulfi ls this technical requirement perfectly. As the name suggests, the appearance is of a true pitch black, that as well as having the expected premium on press performance, will also be aesthetically pleasing to the end customer, potentially leading to more orders.
Finally, still the bread and butter for a large number of garment printers, is a soft feel discharge white, to go under plastisol inks.
To this end, Minerva has both improved the standard ZFS containing Soft Discharge White. Not only has the screen stability been improved, but a development in the manufacturing process, has led to a rheology modifi cation resulting in deeper fabric penetration thus improving the softness of the feel when printed.
Finally, a new GOTS approved Eco Discharge white has been launched.
