Essential expands into Europe with new division

T

he Essential Group of Companies has expanded into Europe with its newest division, Essential Branding Europe (EBE).

While many businesses are still trying to navigate the complex EU-UK trade rules, EBE was set up as a solution for clients requiring ongoing seamless trade in Europe. In creating a European hub, Essential can offer frictionless, tariff-free trade between EU countries, faster delivery, enhanced knowledge of local markets and trading requirements, more competitive prices by reducing the cost and environmental impact of transport, plus a far greater opportunity for expansion into new markets. Essential’s UK-based operations director, Louis Georgiou has a close working relationship with the workforce at EBE and visits the team at the new division based out of Romania regularly to oversee production.

Lynka provides jobs for Ukrainian refugees

M

ore than 50 Ukrainian refugees have been given jobs at Polish garment decorator Lynka since the Russian invasion of the country began in February.

Speaking to Josh Einiger of Eyewitness News, owner of the factory John Lynch said: “They had a normal life a month ago. Their husbands and sons and fathers are walking around with AK-47s, defending their country, and they’re here every single day wondering if they are safe. “I said I have to do something here. I have to help these people.” Born in New Jersey, as a young businessman, Mr Lynch invested in a post-Cold War building and a company called Lynka, which would become one of Europe’s largest T shirt printing factories.

imaginative products and services. The highest standards of quality control mastered from over 24 years’ experience, ensure that all orders manufactured at Essential Branding Europe meet the exacting Essential standards and seamless service that our clients rely on us for. We are recognised as leaders in our field and very pleased to offer this new service in 2022.” Pawel Luczak, operations director for DR1VA, which has been working with Essential over for over 10 years, added: “The quality of service and merchandise that we experience from working with the team at Essential is second to none. Our first order manufactured at the new Essential European division has been delivered with the same care and attention as every other order historically manufactured in the UK. We congratulate Essential on launching the new division and thank you for the excellent top-quality order, executed and delivered on time as always.”

Over 5,000 trees planted through Shire’s ‘Tree for a Lease’ pledge

T

o mark Earth Day 2022 on April 22, Shire Leasing reached a key milestone in its ongoing Tree for a Lease programme, having commissioned the planting of over 5,000 trees.

Through its partnership

with Play It Green, an organisation offering a simple and accessible way to support reforestation while lowering carbon footprints, every new lease transaction Shire Leasing funds results in a tree being planted. Its current planting programme is taking place in the North West of Madagascar, a country where over 90% of rainforests have been lost.

The long-term benefit on the environment is tremendous as a single tree stores on average 22kg of CO2 per year and in exchange releases oxygen. Shire’s forest will go on to absorb over 110 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the Earth’s atmosphere each year, with this increasing as forest numbers are built further.

Shire’s Tree for a Lease

programme not only helps support the environment, but it also offers long-term employment, gender equality and livelihood to the local communities planting and managing the mangrove and upland forests at the three tree-planting sites in North-West Madagascar.
