Focus on UV Printing InkTec Europe

UV printing delivers premium results With the printwear and promotion industry’s focus on higher durability, vibrant colour and fl exible production, InkTec Europe’s latest UV printer developments are focused on helping decorators and promotional printers deliver premium results with greater effi ciency.

The new JETRIX XER160 roll-to-roll UV printer is engineered for businesses producing graphics, fi lms and specialist promotional materials that require consistent white ink and multi-layer capability. Powered by four Epson i3200 print heads, it is one of the most powerful confi gurations in its class, achieving up to 11.9m sq/hr on a four-pass multi-layer production.

When printing white or varnish layers, it can even offer production up to two to three times faster than many comparable systems. Then, with its 1.5L main ink tank system with sub-tanks, it can proactively reduce operator intervention, working alongside white ink circulation to ensure reliable performance even across those longer runs.

In addition, the new JETRIX LXa6 fl atbed UV printer, also available with an additional roll-to-roll function, is great for direct to substrate versatility. Perfect for promotional products, rigid panels and bespoke merchandise, the LXa6 combines JETRIX’s renowned industrial build quality with precise colour control and excellent ink adhesion. Obviously, there is the added benefi t of LED UV curing technology enabling printing onto heat-sensitive substrates, expanding creative possibilities for personalised and branded items, while it is also ideal for prototyping and packaging production.

Resolute

Premium Finishes

Resolute is set to turn heads with an R-Jet PRO DTF UV61 Printer that’s capable of two standout embellishment technologies that reshape what decorators can offer: 3D patch printing and faux embroidery. Both solutions answer the market’s growing appetite for premium fi nishes, fl exible production, and fast turnaround, and they do it without the overheads that typically hold businesses back. 3D patch printing brings a bold, dimensional look that is perfect for brands wanting to elevate garments or hard goods that can be heat pressed. The fi nish delivers the visual punch of a silicone badge, with a soft touch, exceptional durability, and impressive adhesion. Designers benefi t from clean, high-impact graphics, while decorators enjoy a process with no setup costs, economical consumables, and zero dye migration when applying to polyester. With the ability to produce varied texture depths, 3D patches open a fresh creative lane for fashion, sportswear, corporate apparel, and promotional merchandise.

The UV61 is also capable of faux embroidery, a smart alternative to stitched decoration. Flexible UV inks are printed onto a special adhesive media to replicate embroidery’s dimensional aesthetics. Application with a heat press produces a soft, fl exible feel with great durability, with no weeding, cutting or minimum print run requirements. The transfer process is simple and approximately 10 times faster than traditional embroidery at a fraction of the cost. With both technologies, decorators can enjoy scalable production, quick setup and the freedom to deliver intricate detail on demand.
