“CB: It has been good. It’s easy to find what you are looking for. There are a lot of vendors here, but we came with a plan, and we knew what we wanted, and we were able to find it all easily. We were looking at embroidery machines, clothing and caps as we are venturing into this sphere currently. We were originally a signage company, but we inherited some machinery and decided to have a look at what else was there. MB: We came originally for the sign side, but it was small, and there wasn’t a lot in there, so we were in there for only a few minutes before heading into here. We’ll go back to chat with some old friends, but there will be fewer there. It used to be able to stand on its own, but now if they didn’t bunch together, there wouldn’t be a lot there, which is a shame. But it’s been a good day, we have found everything we wanted to find, and we have had some very productive chats. CB: Loads of chats and everyone has been scanning our little QR code, so on the whole it is working well.”

“It’s been good and educational. We’re here to look at certain stuff, but it is good to get sidetracked and look at other things. We were here to see printing equipment and a bit of embroidery. I’m on the hunt for a new machine at the minute so it has been useful. We spoke to quite a lot of people, but at present we are happy with everything. We found some new suppliers and got some products to take away and test, so it has been a good trip.”

“It is a good show. It’s been nice to network and see new products. We just bought an embroidery machine and a lot of our suppliers are here, Ralawise and PenCarrie, so we are looking at new products with which we could extend our product ranges. We print jumpers and T shirts for Everton FC. We came up for one day, and we found everything we needed.”

“I have come every year for three years, and it has been so useful. The best thing is you get to be tactile with the garments because when you’re looking online, it’s just a bit flat and 2D, so this has been very helpful and it has helped me find some of my main suppliers as a business. There are two of us for the company at the moment, and then my friend, who has a bigger company by himself, but we support each other. It’s good to see what’s new out there and be familiar with the products you are using. There wasn’t anyone in particular I came to see; it was more to chat with the array of businesses that I work with, as well as meeting new faces. We have also started working with laser and engraving on trophies and medals; they have become more apparent to my business, so that’s been really good to see as well. We do embroidery and print for workwear, schools and general garments, and now we do trophy and medal laser engravings.”

“It’s alright, the show, it’s not too bad. There are plenty of brands and machinery here, so it’s good. We come every year. Personally, this is my fourth year, and my wife is about seven or eight years. It’s been a bit quiet on Tuesday, but it is probably because of the day, but it has meant we have had free rein to talk to those on stands; it makes it easier for us. We’ve just come for a general nosey and see what’s new and what’s about.”
