FEC Preview www.parkworld-online.com Park World editor, Becci Knowles, caught up with Cyril to find out more.

Cyril, how long did Hall U Need take from concept to completion Four years, from 2016 to 2020. The complex was ready to open in 2020 but with the Covid situation we took our time to finish the details. We were allowed to open in June 2021.

Tell me about all the work that went into opening safely for employees and guests. What guidance did you seek from the authorities and partners? Are the safety measures working and what will be the challenges going forward? We opened 9 June with the mask obligation for customers and staff. Since mid-August, the sanitary pass is mandatory for all customers, so they can now remove their mask. The staff in contact with the customers and the kitchen must be vaccinated, so they can also remove their masks.

Which manufacturers play a role in the smooth operation of the site? Intercard, with its cashless card. The Hall U Need card allows us to offer free games (bonus) to customers according to the amount credited and allows the customer to make cashless payments for everything in the complex, from the bar and restaurant to activities and games. It also allows customers to win certain games (redemption); to see their balance at any time on the terminals or via a barcode; to record the value of the card on our website to be reimbursed in the event of loss and to obtain a bonus with the children’s menu.

Do you have a flagship attraction? We have two. The first is Racing Bug, a remote-controlled car racing experience that allows you to put yourself in the shoes of a professional driver for the duration of a game. Thanks to real pedals and steering controls, the player experiences racing sensations in complete safety on famous international circuits.

At the wheel of legendary cars (Jaguar F-Type GT4, Ferrari 360, Ford Mustang, Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Chiron ...) the driver faces up to 10 opponents. The position, time and classification are displayed on large screens and the winner will be able to climb the podium steps. The other is VEX Adventure. This highly immersive experience allows you to feel physically present in a virtual 4D environment and to interact with it. The player is immediately immersed in another world where the settings seem real. With equipment worthy of the greatest science fiction films, they will feel the ground shaking, the smells of an old cave, the

breath of his enemies, the heat of the lava and the impact of bullets etc. Unlike virtual reality practiced with a headset, VEX Adventure uses "freeroaming VR", a process that allows you to move around freely in a virtual environment, and which prevents "motion sickness" Depending on the adventure chosen, participants will travel in a landscape of cliffs, volcanoes, waterfalls and must find their way to discover the secret of the pyramid or fight zombies in a graveyard and in a haunted castle. In total, 6 adventures are available, including three Escape Games:

Temple Party, Temple Quest, Lunarscape Breakdown and three FPS (First person shooter): Mission Z, Dark Z, Rush Z. We also have some great classics, including a karaoke with 11 private rooms for 5 to 18 people decorated according to the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s; a 10-lane bowling alley with five different atmospheres where you can play wearing your own shoes; over 70 Arcade (video games, pinball machines, billiards) and Redemption (skill games) games and a 600m2 children's play area with a giant labyrinth, trampolines, a Ninja course, mini-karts.

Tell me about your food and beverage offer? The industrial-chic 500-seat restaurant-bar offers panoramic views of the bowling lanes, activities and cooking. For lunch or dinner, the restaurant offers dishes prepared and cooked on site by its chef with fresh products. In the center of the complex, in a cozy atmosphere, the bar broadcasts on its multiple screens concerts and sporting events (Euro 2021 football matches, Roland Garros, etc.) and will be animated several times a week by themed evenings, live acoustic concerts or DJ Set. The bar serves a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines and premium spirits (Gin, Whiskey, Rum etc.).

How does this all combine to bring the ethos of "Now- Enjoy-Eat-Drink”?

At Hall U Need, you can do everything at the same place: have fun (gaming, watching a football match), have a drink and/or eat.

Why is it different to other family entertainment centres and what does this mean for the future of the market? In France but also in Europe, most of the leisure sites are single activities and without real catering, we are the first to offer a wide range of activities with a good restaurant (not just fast-food). After Saint-André-lez-Lille, Hall U Need will move to other cities in France and Europe.
