The Expo’s Special Events programme represents an opportunity to connect with industry professionals from all over the world. In the process of participating in special events, delegates can share best practices, learn from peers, explore the latest industry trends and broaden their network. IAAPA announces 2021 Service Award Winners and Young Professional of the Year
IAAPA announced the winners of its annual awards programmes throughout an entire week! Starting Monday 1 November each day at 11 a.m. on Facebook, IAAPA announced a new category of winners and inductees.
The IAAPA Service Awards honour individuals in the global attractions industry for their commitment to excellence, leadership, innovation, service, and safety. This year’s winners are: •

The global attraction industry’s premier event will take place at 15-18 November at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida.
The IAAPA Young Professional of the Year Award honours IAAPA members under the age of 35 who demonstrate a dedication to the global attractions industry through strong leadership, teamwork, and integrity.
This year’s winner of the IAAPA Young Professional of the Year Award is Chris Desch, ICAE, General Manager, Jen’s Links LLC.
Brass Ring Awards
The winners of the 2021 Brass Ring Awards were due to be announced on IAAPA’s facebook page as Park World went to press.
IAAPA Hall of Fame
IAAPA has inducted two global attractions industry legends — Marcelo Gutglas and Marie Tussaud — into the IAAPA Hall of Fame. The IAAPA Hall of Fame honours individuals whose work and accomplishments have made significant and lasting contributions to the global attractions industry. These awards are the highest and most prestigious individual honours in the industry. “We are honuored to welcome Marcelo Gutglas and Marie Tussaud into the IAAPA Hall of Fame,” said Michael Collins, 2021 chair of the IAAPA Hall of Fame and Archives Committee and senior partner, Leisure Development Partners, LLP. “Marcelo Gutglas has been an advocate and ambassador for the attractions industry in Latin America for more than 50 years, and Marie Tussaud created an art form and an attraction that has entertained millions around the globe. Their contributions to our industry are significant and their impact will influence the industry for many years to come.”
All IAAPA 2021 Award winners and IAAPA Hall of Fame Inductees will be highlighted and celebrated in person during IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida, 15 -19 November at the Orange County Convention Center.
