Hall U Need is a new concept of indoor multi-leisure site inspired by North American “Eats and Entertainment” complexes based in Saint-André-Lez-Lille. It combines in one place a restaurant-bar with 500 seats, activities to entertain people of all ages and spaces to relax and work. With a capacity of 1,650 people over 7000m2, it is the second largest indoor leisure complex in France.

A

t 45, Hall U Need’s founder, Cyril Parenna worked in the tourism sector for 18 years. He has created and managed several tour operators including the French subsidiary of the Dutch company Sunweb, an online travel agency that offers sun and ski holidays. In 2015, Cyril’s outings with his then 6-year-old daughter made him want to create a multi-activity place for all tastes and all ages. To refine his concept, Cyril tested various leisure sites around the world and became inspired by the huge American and Canadian complexes, such as Dave & Buster's and The Rec Room, where an intergenerational clientele meets up with friends, colleagues or family to have fun, dine, watch a game or a concert.

“In 2016, the Hall U Need concept took shape after days and nights of reflection, meetings, plans made and undone,” he says. Cyril’s aim was to bring together in an indoor place a restaurant-bar, video games and skill games, sensational activities, bowling, karaoke, an area for children but also spaces for working. All he needed was the perfect location to bring this concept called Hall U Need to life; "Need" being the acronym for Now-Enjoy-Eat-Drink and a reminder of the legendary Beatles track "All you need is love". After many visits to the Lille Metropolis, Cyril discovered by chance the halls of the spinning mill in Saint André lez Lille, a 7,000 m2 site with a huge parking lot and perfectly located 10 minutes from Lille and the North ring road.
