Operations role in Theme Park Design?

nfortunately, some theme or water parks only hire their operations team toward the end of construction when everything is literally set in


stone (or concrete or fiberglass). Many Operators have stories about their first park. Designed without first aid rooms. A statue whose head had to be taken off, because its inside the ride envelope. The water park with anti-slip mats in the wavepool entrance. The beautifully themed ride with an ugly sheet metal operator booth (because it was too hot for the operator to stand outside the full day). These are just a few of countless examples of when Operational Experience could have improved a park.
