Intamin's Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg


Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virginia, will introduce


Pantheon, a record-breaking multi-launch coaster. From Intamin, the 3,328 foot long ride will feature a total of four launches. Measuring 180 feet tall, this coaster, to be located in the park’s Festa Italia village and will reach a top speed of 72.5 mph, making it the fastest multi-launch coaster in North America. Thrill-seekers will experience a new level of excitement


when they visit Kings Island, Mason, Ohio, in 2020. Joining the world-class line-up of coasters at the park is Orion, one of only seven mega coasters in the world, a class of coasters having a height or drop of 300-399 feet (91-122 m). From Bolliger & Mabillard, Orion will plunge riders down an exhilarating 300-foot (91 m) drop before sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills at speeds of up to 91 mph (146 kph). Racing along 5,321 feet (1,622 m) of track, it will be Kings Island’s tallest, fastest and longest steel coaster.


Snakes and Lizards Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey, will shatter three world records when it debuts a coaster of legendary proportions—the tallest, fastest and longest single rail coaster. From Rocky Mountain Construction, Jersey Devil Coaster will tower 13 stories and reach speeds up to 58 mph (93 kph) as riders soar through the dark and foreboding woods along 3,000 feet (914 m) of track. Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington, Texas, will debut


Aquaman: Power Wave, the first-of-its-kind water coaster in North America. From Mack Rides and standing an impressive 148 feet (45 m) tall, this massive attraction launches riders backward across more than 700 feet (213 m) of track at 63 mph (101 kph). As the ride completes its action-packed cycle, riders are launched forward from a 90º angle for the ultimate splashdown. Aquaman: Power Wave will be the park’s 15th coaster. La Ronde, Montreal, Quebec, will introduce the first ever


free-fly coaster in Canada. From S&S – Sansei, Vipère takes coaster riding to the next level, sending riders on a head over heels journey with unexpected drops, vertical free-falls and gravity-defying somersaults. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Vallejo, California, is


adding its 12th roller coaster, Sidewinder Safari by Zamperla. This spinning Wild Mouse coaster and animal exhibit immerses guests in a jungle-like setting as they enter the queue line surrounded by live snakes, lizards and other reptiles. Guests will then travel along 1,378 feet (420 m) of slithering track with twisting and turning hairpin curves, rapid strike drops and 360º spins.


WINTER EDITION Waldameer Park & Water World, Erie, Pennsylvania,


will add Whirlwind, a compact spinning coaster from SBF – Visa. This is a family ride for young children and their parents and siblings.


Olympic Mountain Coaster Storybook Land, Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, will unveil Cinderella Coaster. A compact spinning coaster with three loops from SBF/Visa, it carries up to 16 riders. The Dragon Coaster, a Zierer Force/Five dark ride


coaster, will open as part of Legoland New York, Goshen, New York. A second coaster, Dragon’s Apprentice by Zamperla, will also be introduced. Fly di Ragga Muffin, a steel suspended coaster, opens at


Mystic Mountain Jamaica, Ocho Rios, Saint Ann, Jamaica. Kersplash, an E & F Miler water coaster, opens at Edaville


Family Theme Park, Carver, Massachusetts. Ir previously operated at the Washington State Fair. Skyflyer, an SBF/Visa micro coaster is planned for Deno’s


Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, Coney Island, New York. Lagoon, Farmington, Utah, is building its own steel coaster,


which is yet to be named. Sandy’s Blasting Bronco is a 12-seat Intamin launched


coaster that recently opened at Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Wilderness Run, a Wiegand Alpine Coaster, is being


readied in Banner Elk, North Carolina. It will measure 2,930 feet long and hit a top speed of 27 mph. Another mountain coaster, supplier unknown, will open on


Whiteface in the Adirondack Mountains, North Elba, New York. It will be an enormous 7,000 long ride and will follow the path of the 1932 and 1980 Mount Van Hoevenberg Olympic bobsled run. A yet-to-be-named but well-travelled Pinfari Zyklon Z64 is


being refurbished before opening at Lakeside Amusement Park, Denver, Colorado. A new Zamperla Junior Coaster will open this year at


Luna Park, Coney Island, New York. The first Big Air Coaster by SBF/Visa has been sold by


Rides-4-U to Craig’s Cruisers Family Fun Center, Mears, Michigan. Big Air Coaster’s layout is a rounded rectangle, with adequate space within to place other rides. Cedar Vally’s Wild Frontier Fun Park, Comins,


Michigan, is the newest location for a refurbished 1,700 foot long S.D.C. Zyklon Galaxi.
