Waterpark Profile

Arguably the park’s signature attraction, the RocketBLAST

water coaster is one of ProSlide’s iconic water ride innovations. It uses water jet propulsion technology to power boats uphill, through quick turns and down steep drops. This technology lets boats rocket up hills that are 100% steeper than traditional ‘blaster’ coasters, and more power means 100% more capacity with 4-person boats. Sophisticated control systems and sensors save water and energy, making the ride 60% more efficient than old-style ‘blaster’ coasters. Russell Stokes, vice president of Aquaventure Operations

at Atlantis Sanya, commented: “I have worked with ProSlide previously, and they always deliver a great ride experience,” he says. “We can’t wait to be the only park in China with this incredibly innovative ride experience.” In addition to the RocketBLAST™ water coaster,

Aquaventure is home to several the signature Atlantis ‘Leap of Faith’ a ProSlide FreeFALL slide that plunges riders down a steep flume and through an underwater shark tank at super- high speed. The park’s ‘Tornado Spin’ ride, meanwhile, combines the ProSlide TORNADO 60 funnel with the

BehemothBOWL 40 to create a hybrid ride path full of zero gravity moments and heart-stopping hang times. Designed for the daring, the SuperLOOP is one of the

waterpark’s most thrilling rides. Longer than a hundred metres, with an astounding drop just shy of 80 meters, the ride is packed with twists and turns to keep guests reeling and whirling.

World-class variety In addition to the waterpark, the Aquaventure complex includes interactive sea mammal experience Dolphin Cay and Sea Lion Point, where guests can swim and play with friendly bottlenose dolphins. It also boasts one of the largest open-air aquariums in the world, The Ambassador Lagoon, a unique underwater habitat, home to more than 86,000 species of marine life - sharks, sting rays, and thousands of fish. The Lost Chambers Aquarium, meanwhile, allows visitors to immerse themselves in the calming mysteries of the ocean and learn more about the richness and diversity of its inhabitants..
