Ribbon cut on CanCan Coaster

2019 debut for Copperhead Strike

N

orth Carolina’s Carowinds will introduce Copperhead Strike, the Carolinas’ first double launch coaster, for the 2019

season. Copperhead Strike simulates the chase of getaway cars through rolling farmland, sending riders on two launches over 3,255ft of steel at a maximum height of 82ft.

The Mack Rides’ coaster dynamics offer an intense low-to-the-ground experience. With three 16- passenger trains fashioned after 1930s coupes, Copperhead Strike sends riders from 0-42 mph in 2.5 seconds into a Jojo roll right out of the station. They then go into a lightning fast launch, looping into the second of five inversions, moving into a series of near-miss twists, turns and flips and a second launch. Copperhead Strike will be Carowinds’ 14th coaster – only four parks in the world have more. The new coaster is the central element of Blue Ridge Junction, a new themed area inspired by the majestic culture of the Blue Ridge Mountain region.

Europa-Park’s French themed area has undergone a fresh renovation, all crowned by the re-opening of the completely redesigned Eurosat – CanCan Coaster and Eurosat Coastiality. Director Luc Besson joined 250 press representatives and the

Mack family to celebrate the ride’s official reopening. The Eurosat is the result of a €30m investment in the French Area. The Eurosat’s rails and trains have been completely renewed,

as well as the technology and theming inside the iconic geodesic sphere. Visitors will now experience a special dark-ride coaster taking them through illuminated Paris. The entire façade has likewise been given a vivid new look

and, in line with the well-known ‘Moulin Rouge’  a Parisian bastion of fun and entertainment since 1889. Eurosat Coastiality offers a unique virtual reality experience

where the novelty of the ride can be experienced before the actual VR rollercoaster ride, as visitors will be able to put on their VR headset while standing in a pre-show room. What follows is new within the international theme park industry: with the VR headset on, and within virtual reality, visitors not only walk across the train station, but also board the Eurosat Coastiality train without having to remove the headset in between, transitioning seamlessly into the rollercoaster ride itself.

Best Union is now Vivaticket

The Best Union group has rebranded, becoming Vivaticket; a move that reflects the company’s goals more closely, and brings the group together as a global team. With 19 years under its belt, Vivaticket’s goal is to continue to grow with the same values, and to prioritise customer feedback and knowledge. Vivaticket was recently involved in the opening of

Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi, and completely renewed the F.C. Barcelona website as well as the running integration with the Nol card in Dubai, and the new implementation for the Eiffel tower.
