SIGMA PREVIEWS Push Gaming
Fiona Hickey, Push Gaming Director of New Business & Markets, spoke to GIO about the supplier’s plans for SIGMA
GIO: Push Gaming will be front and centre at Malta’s big event, SiGMA. What themes will you be focusing on with attendees? Fiona Hickey: As ever, our content is going to take centre stage. The show is only a couple of weeks after the launch of our much-anticipated release, Space Stacks, and will offer us the chance to bolster its successful launch.
Space Stacks brings something new to the table and grows our already diverse portfolio of slots. It introduces our Reelbets mechanic, which allows players to split their bet between different Instant Prize Blocks, Bonus Round Blocks and the Max Win Block.
We wanted to use the various types of other betting games that are available in our industry as inspiration and leveraged these themes to create something that we feel is rather unique within slots. Space Stacks and the Reelbets mechanic demonstrate our drive to deliver slot enthusiasts a whole new way to play, and we’re absolutely delighted to be bringing them such an exciting new feature.
It’s also about pushing the envelope, taking
risks to offer something truly different to the industry, with an aim of entertaining players with new mechanics that can sit well in regulated markets and we’ve been really pleased by the reception it’s had.
Will there be any as-yet-unreleased games on show?
Absolutely. Next up on our release roadmap is Mystery Mission - To the Moon. The follow-up to the smash hit Mystery Museum, the action takes players away from looting artefacts in the original museum and into outer space on the hunt for alien technology and, of course, big wins. The setting isn’t the only thing that has changed - we’ve kept the charm and core gameplay from the original but signifi cantly expanded on it to create a new experience that will still hold familiarity to the many fans of the fi rst game and equally engage newcomers too. The grid is larger, as is the number of paylines, and there’s a host of features that align perfectly with the pace of the action - all while playing out against the retro-sci-fi artwork and character design.
We’ll also have another upcoming game to tease with Retro Tapes. Inspired by our massively popular Jammin’ Jars series, we took the look and feel of both entries and poured that energy into the design process for Retro Tapes. Our exclusive Cluster Links feature also makes a return and was another driver behind the game’s development, allowing us to offer players more new ways of experiencing wins. Combined with the array of features and symbols in-game, players will be able to build up and multiply huge cluster wins.
It’s fast-paced to please experienced players yet easy to pick up and play for beginners and we’re sure both will be delighted with the personality that runs through the game, continuing our reputation for creating iconic characters such as those enjoyed in many of our previous games.
We’ve got much more to reveal to visitors to our stand ST1 at SiGMA Europe. We’ll look forward to welcoming them and telling them more about where Push is headed.
Videoslots
Ulle Skottling, Deputy CEO at Videoslots, talks about the company’s return to SIGMA
own proprietary platform to provide players with the most varied selection of exciting releases from the industry’s biggest names is something we take enormous pride in, and we hope to use our presence at SiGMA to reinforce our position as the industry’s biggest and best online casino. GIO: What are your thoughts on current trends in the industry, and how does your presence at SiGMA factor into that?
GIO: Heading to SiGMA, what can we expect from Videoslots and what are you prioritising? Ulle Skottling: We are excited to head to SiGMA once again to demonstrate to delegates in Malta just how far we have come in a relatively short space of time. The selection of games available to players at Videoslots is unmatched - we have recently passed a signifi cant milestone, this year making our 8,000th game available, mere months after passing the 7,000-game mark. Employing our
US: Malta has always been the heart of iGaming, and although it’s wonderful to see that this has inspired more hubs to emerge, the core will always be here. Recent industry trends have led to a particular focus on QA development, business intelligence data, internal IT, and production IT, and our efforts in the recruitment space refl ect this, with our team growing exponentially in recent months. As an iGaming hub, Malta is the ideal place to demonstrate the strength in depth that the Videoslots team now has.
GIO: Can you go into detail about your Maltese operations, and how your presence there factors into your future plans?
US: Our presence in Malta has always been advantageous - many of our business partners and providers are also located on the island, making it very easy for us to have face-to-face contact and meetings without the need for travel, and its position as a safe, bilingual country with good infrastructure means it has always been of great importance to us. We’ve always had our core here, and that has worked very well so far. Looking ahead, see can only see that we’ll continue to invest and successfully grow our operations in Malta with the best talents in the industry.
