G2E REVIEW Jurgen De Munck Alfredo Moreno DR Gaming Technology at

G2E 2022 DRGT CEO Jurgen De Munck, and Managing Director: Mexico, Alfredo Moreno check in with Jon Bruford post Vegas.

Jon: Hello gentlemen. G2E has come and gone, how did it go? Jurgen: Well thanks, it was nice and busy, busier than I genuinely expected despite some Visa challenges that I understand some attendees faced. We experienced that first-hand with some of our South American colleagues.

Jon: Any challenges for your Mexican partners Alfredo? Alfredo: Hi Jon, no. None at all. Mexico was well represented and we really enjoyed a good showing.

Jon: When we chatted ahead of the show we discussed your system-driven jackpots, cashless gaming and your latest development which allows players to ‘top-up’ their account via a QR code at their EGM; were these the heroes? Alfredo: As you know jackpots and cashless are our core products, after our systems technology of course, so they will always be the heroes. What was of major interest to our Mexican vistors this year were our mystery jackpots.

Jon: Can you expand a little on that please Alfredo? Alfredo: We probably offer the biggest selection of Mystery and Progressive Jackpot configuration options available in the world today; and without belabouring the point that our jackpots can operate ‘on top of’ existing EGMs via our drSMIB, as opposed to via a jackpot controller and on only dedicated manufacturer defined EGMs, it needs to be said. Operators in Mexico, and globally, are all after,

and have always been after, enhanced efficiencies and an enhanced player experience, our jackpot tech ticks both of those boxes. Jurgen: Agreed, and to add to that, the fact that our tailored Jackpot products are able to operate standalone (on a single EGM), local (across a number of EGMs on a single casino floor), or across the ‘Wide Area’ of an operator’s estate of casinos makes for a compelling product to any operators arsenal.

Jon: …and then of course within that you can configure and tailor those jackpots, and the mysteries Alfredo referred to as you see fit? Jurgen: Yes of course, from the comfort of your office or home. You can literally login in

from anywhere, activate and de-activate jackpots, configure new ones, and determine when and where you’d like them to ‘run’ and whom you’d like to make them available to: whether that be loyalty card tier-based, spend threshold-based, time-based, EGM-specific, game-specific, you name it.

Jon: That’s great; so were there Jackpot deals done? Alfredo: Of course, I wouldn’t be doing my job if there weren’t deals done – ha ha. Seriously though, we did secure a wide-area deal at the show for just over 20 venues in Mexico. I’m very happy about that. Jurgen: So am I – not as big as our biggest WAP partner who operates our jackpots across over 100 venues and some 5,000 EGMs, but I can’t complain. Felicidades mi amigo!

Jon: So the jackpot box was ticked in Vegas, what about cashless and your systems technology – I know there are a number of legacy providers in Mexico, it must be a ‘tough nut to crack’? Alfredo: You’re quite right Jon. There are three very entrenched systems service providers in my country, and since establishing DRGT Mexico 5 years ago we have been doing our level best to gain market share. So far, so good; as I said it’s been 5 years so we must be doing something right.

Jon: I do hear though, Jurgen, that quite recently you acquired a rather nice ‘Ace up your Sleeve’ in Acapulco. Jurgen: You’re a well-informed man Jon – but I guess you wouldn’t be worth your salt as a journalist if you weren’t. You are quite right though; I assume you referring to our casino in Acapulco, correct?

Jon: Of course I am! It’s a pretty cool location for a ‘showroom’. Jurgen: It is indeed! Infiniti Casino Acapulco is co-owned by the same owners or DRGT™, so yes I guess it is kind of a showroom. In the same manner, we’re able to leverage our co-ownership of Casino Dinant and also Casino Oostende in Belgium we are now able to literally ‘show and tell’ in Mexico too. To that end, Infiniti Casino Acapulco

operates our full management system, cashless

gaming, player tracking, and jackpots and as a result provides us first-hand operator insights into how our own products perform, and as a result significant credibility when pitching our various DRGT technology solution options to potential partners

Jon: You worked with Jurgen as an operator in Mexico ahead of joining DRGT in 2017 Alfredo; the first-hand product experience Jurgen refers to must make assessing a products suitability far easier, correct? Alfredo: That goes without saying. You’re able to see things as they really are. As co-owners we’re both the service provider and the customer. The additional insights I am able to gain as the Infiniti Casino Acapulco service partner are invaluable and I can then pass these on to my other customers ‘first-hand’ as Jurgen says.

Jon: So, as before – the systems box also ticked. Any sales? Jurgen: I am please to say yes. As you know system migration can be quick, but it is not a quick decision, as it is often bound by the terms of existing agreements, and as you alluded to earlier there are a number of entrenched service providers in Mexico. That said, we did do some deals and hope to have between 3 and 5 operators migrated across to us by this time next year. Alfredo: …and migrated with the full DRGT suite of not only our system, but cashless, jackpots, player tracking, our reporting that includes bespoke local regulatory tax and anti-money laundering reports, as well as the requisite (drMember) player registration technology.

Jon: Any closing thoughts or comments? Alfredo: Yes please. I’d like to mention one more item that many of the visitors to our booth really liked and that was our automated voucher functionality. What it does is automatically send vouchers to our drScreenUltra player tracking unit and/or an actual EGM screen via drScreenFull as and when players ‘level up’. In other words as various player loyalty thresholds (or actually any other parameter or configured thresholds) are met, players can get sent a congratulatory message and a bonus or voucher directly to the EGM they are playing. A simple and easy way to surprise and delight players – something they all love.
