G2E REVIEW StylGame wows G2E crowds

Filippo Ferruzzi, StylGame’s Sales Director for the US, talked to Casino International about the company’s success at G2E

C

asino International: What were the company’s goals before the event? Filippo Ferruzzi: StylGame’s goals before the event was to

maintain and strengthen business relationships with existing customers after a difficult year due to the pandemic and meet new potential customers.

CI: Did you achieve these goals? FF: Yes. Despite the low foot traffic, we have had some very successful meetings, we met all the most important customers and some very promising new ones.

CI: What stands out about the event for you? FF: This G2E was a success for StylGame as we managed to create a nice and professional presentation of all our products despite the smaller booth space and had some very fruitful meetings. We believe that participation of most of the exhibitors is a big goal given the circumstances and that is definitely what stands out about this year’s event.

CI: Who attended for the company – was it just the US office? How did this differ from your usual events? FF: Due to travel restrictions, this year only the US office attended the show. It is the first time in 10 years that the Italian management team did not attend the show so it was quite different to usual. However the foot traffic was also slower than usual so the US team alone could successfully take care of all the product presentations and meetings.

CI: What were your product highlights? FF: At this year’s G2E StylGame introduced a revolutionary chair for slot machines and table games, the Maya chair, which is a breakthrough of design and functionality with a built-in massage backrest that will disrupt the way chairs have been conceived so far.

CI: Did you sign any exciting deals at the show? FF: Yes – and we look forward to establishing long-lasting partnerships with all the customers we signed deals with.

Zytronic shines at G2E

At this year’s G2E, visitors to the Zytronic stand were captivated by the ‘slant top’ design concept unit…

T

he ‘slant top’ design concept unit combines the company’s recent ElectroglaZ innovation with touch interactivity and a novel, non- mechanical glass ‘bash button’.

ElectroglaZ delivers electrical power

through a transparent glass panel without wires or cables and can be combined with Zytronic’s projected capacitive touch sensors.

INVISIBLY POWERING THE NEXT LEVEL IN GAME DESIGN

In the concept unit, the custom shaped ElectroglaZ panel simultaneously powers a 21.5” LCD (data via wireless HDMI), wireless phone charging pad, USB port and an LED, backlighting a logo printed on the glass. In addition, the touch active display incorporates a transparent, raised glass button. This ingenious ‘bash button’ design

Also on the stand was a highly customised ZyBrid multitouch interactive button deck that features dimples, sliders and a dial/ wheel machined into the surface of the glass, together with Zytronic’s ‘floating’ button technology. Here, power and input/ output signals from the transparent mechanical button embedded within the 19.1” stretched, viewable part of the display are transmitted via near-invisible 10-micron diameter copper electrodes. Both design concepts showcase Zytronic’s decades-long expertise in glass processing and its comprehensive in-house development skills. These capabilities combine to reassure game designers under increasing pressure to create innovative new electronic gaming machines of various types quickly.
