ife has a nasty habit of giving you a jolt when you least expect it, and days before traveling to Las Vegas for the long-awaited G2E 2021 last month, some evil genius hacked my personal greatavickery email account at Yahoo! which I used for this column. I apologize to all those who received a fraudulent email
from third parties requesting help and using my name. That message was not mine. And I would like to give thanks to the kind souls who wrote to me to see if they could be of help as needed. A beautiful gesture of true friendship. Following this, and as we were about from London, to Lima, Cartagena,
back to Lima, Tampa, etc., a more unfortunate mishap took place, as disruptions of Covid testing and ensuing bureaucracy in compliance with travel security took its toll when I misplaced and then lost my carry-on bag containing my three laptops, and with them a lot of work not saved on the cloud. Anyway, and as they say that everything happens in cycles of three with a minor mishap back in London, although without major consequences. Meanwhile back in the ranch and in
the real world of the Gaming, I am told that the G2E 2021 was just wonderful, with 13,000 face-to-face attendance of global gaming professionals, including exhibitors, buyers and media from around the world, gathering at the Venetian Expo and Convention Center during four days of trade appointments, product exhibitions, keynotes and education sessions.
The Global Gaming Expo (G2E),
presented by the American Gaming Association (AGA), returned to Las Vegas for its fi rst in-person trade show after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, highlighting the resilience and innovation
