Q&A – KONAMI
Matt: And how has that been received? Have people responded to that positively? Tashina: Yes – definitely. It still has the Konami name, and I think that’s really what’s most important about Konami’s online offering - that you’re able to take those recognisable Konami slot games that players have loved for over two decades, and bring them for your online players to enjoy as well. So, Konami Online Interactive was a huge part of 2025, and in addition to that, we also announced Solstice, which is an entirely new land-based cabinet hardware for our slot games; that was announced during G2E, and it’s here for the first time at ICE. So, it’s been a really exciting couple of months for Konami.
Matt: And what can you tell me about the company’s ambitions for 2026? Tashina: Number one for 2026 is really helping to support our customers with all of these great offerings. We hope to bring Solstice to our international customer base ASAP so they can benefit from that new technology.
As well as some great games that we’re bringing out there, we have the world’s first slots games based on Bomberman; that brings this classic strategy video game to the casino space, where you’re able to leverage those bombs and blast open some fantastic prizes. It’s a really exciting release that we’re making available both online and in land- based casinos; it’s a great launch for our casino partners.
Matt: I knew Konami first and foremost from video games, and was surprised when I encountered Konami in the casino space that there isn’t more leverage of those incredible Konami video game properties and IPS; is that we’re going to see more of in the future? Tashina: It’s always going to be a part of our history and always going to be something that we’re able to tap into and use in unique ways. We’ve experimented with it in the past; we actually have another IP from our video game space that’s available online right now - Silent Hill - which is available through our online gaming library, so you’re exactly right - this might just be the beginning.
Matt: I’m guessing the demographic suggests that (as video gamers are now middle-aged men like myself!) guys that are playing on your slot machines have a huge amount of affection for those titles, and get drawn to specific slots games just because of those video game identities. Tashina: I think you’re exactly right, Matt. And from the early numbers that we’ve seen from Bomberman (it just landed in this in the United States in December) that could be the

reason why we’re seeing the elevated numbers for this new game.
Matt: And when people are visiting at ICE, what’s the message you want them to take away with them from Konami? Tashina: Number one: “Solstice - It’s here; we hope that you can take advantage of it this year”. And then Konami Online Interactive - this is a new brand for our iGaming division, and we’re looking to support online operators with Konami content.
