Q&A – KONAMI

Q&A – Tashina Lazcano, Konami Gaming

Casino International’s Matt Broughton spoke with Konami Gaming’s Senior Director, Marketing & Communications, Tashina Lazcano, about the progress made by the company in 2025, and what still lies ahead.

Matt: How was 2025 for Konami? Tashina: 2025 was a huge year for Konami. We opened up our Europe office in Slovenia, and the reason why we wanted to open up that Europe office was really to provide more direct sales and service to our customers there in Europe, which is especially important as we’re looking to expand our iGaming business.

Last year, we also landed for the first time in Europe with our real-money online gaming in Portugal and are continuing to try to expand across European markets as well as globally. In particular, Latin America is a key market for our iGaming as well, and we have landed in Brazil.

iGaming had a particularly strong focus in 2025. Out of that, we decided to launch an entirely new brand identity specifically for our iGaming business, and that is Konami Online Interactive, which was announced in 2025. That really came out of opening up this office and having all of this market growth. We felt like we needed something that really helped reinforce that Konami doesn’t just do casino slot machines - we also have a fantastic library for our online customers as well.
