A LOOK BACK – AND FORWARD

kwiff Charles Lee, CEO

kwiff kicked-off 2021 in a strong position thanks to the newly installed executive team who have helped deliver the business to a positive EBITDA position. With the right foundations in place it enabled kwiff to focus on accelerating an expansive growth strategy and deliver on key targets. Regulation has laid the framework for this growth and during the year kwiff renewed its B2C Isle of Man licence with the tier-one regulator. The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission has strict standards in AML and player protections and will open up opportunities for international traffic in emerging markets. East Africa is a region identified for widening the company reach and several licences have been secured to facilitate this exciting venture. kwiff’s fully proprietary technology is developed in-house and during 2021 the technology team was expanded. This gave us more scope to develop the highly scalable microservice platform and innovate the mobile-first applications to give customers a reactive and responsive experience. Our sportsbook platform is in a continuous cycle of updates to ensure kwiff’s intuitive platform capabilities always provide a revolutionary betting product. Work done in the user interface has produced excellent results and this has been complemented with the

integration of a full suite of US sports with content from official data resources. kwiff prides itself on really knowing its community, as our goal is creating truly unique and engaging betting experiences. An extension of this philosophy is seen within kwiff’s Reward Hub that allows bespoke bonusing and the ability to design proprietary rewards and customer journeys in-house. New features have been worked into our proprietary Safer Gambling programme, utilising critical data to provide robust responsible gaming protections that work seamlessly across multiple jurisdictions. This strategy builds on our localisation commitment where we shape the kwiff offering to meet demand within differing territories.

2022 promises to be an exciting year for the company, the supercharged sportsbook will have flawless streaming capability and more gamification features added as we continue to entertain our customer base. kwiff will continue to give back to its burgeoning online community, personalising the experience for each player and developing its proprietary reward hub.

Planet Sport Mike Grenham, Managing Director, Betting

It has been a huge year for the online gambling industry, but my particular highlight was joining Planet Sport to head up the new Betting division. The business is a great mix of B2B and B2C products with a portfolio of websites, including Football365, TEAMtalk and Planet Sport, that attract over 20 million unique users every month. There’s a real ‘can do’ attitude and a burning ambition to keep growing and developing.

And that is exactly what we plan to do in 2022. We will be exploring the possibilities in the betting sector, particularly as regards potentially

growing our footprint and audience internationally. I believe, and hope, that the value of quality betting content will continue to rise in the next 12 months and that is something that plays to our strengths as a business. Over the coming 12 months, I think the value of companies that can provide quality betting content will almost certainly rise, especially with regulation likely to impact TV advertising and sports sponsorships in the gambling sector. Away from that, I think it’s pretty clear that further consolidation is inevitable and there will patently be more M&A activity.
