unque el virus sigue amenazando en su última versión del Ómicron, la industria del juego en la región no se detiene, tanto por el lado presencial como el remoto, con la inauguración, el 27 de diciembre, de la nueva Sala de Juego de Casino de Mendoza en el Este, en el
departamento de San Martín, que generará unos 1.000 puestos de trabajo y se convierte en un polo de atracción turística, cultural y artística, tanto para los residentes mendocinos como a turistas nacionales e internacionales. La inversión en el proyecto total de AR$4.039.837.026, unos
US$39, 4 millones, contempla la construcción de un hotel categoría cuatro estrellas de 55 habitaciones, con spa, gimnasio, pileta climatizada, amplia plaza gastronómica, plaza de eventos, centro de convenciones de 1.600 m2 y 17 locales comerciales. Anteriormente, la Comisión de Juegos de Puerto Rico anunció la
apertura de tres casinos en hoteles de calidad para este año con la creación de más de 325 empleos directos, generando también importantes fuentes de ingresos para el Gobierno.
El primer casino estará situado en el hotel Condado Plaza Hilton, de gran trayectoria e historial, en la zona turística Condado de la capital San Juan, con una inversión de US$33 millones, generando alrededor de 200 empleos directos. Los otros dos casinos estarán en el hotel Embassy Suites by Hilton, Dorado del Mar Beach Resort, en Dorado y en el Tribute FortfolioPonce Grand Casino, en Ponce.
Con empresas de gran calibre invirtiendo en la industria del juego
de la región, el 2022 promete será el año del renacimiento del juego latinoamericano y veremos cómo se vislumbra el panorama global cuando Clarion Gaming anuncie la nueva fecha del ICE de Londres que ha sido pospuesto de febrero para el mes de abril. lthough the virus continues to threaten in its latest Omicron version, the gaming industry in the Latin American region does not stop, either land-based or online. The opening on December 27th of the new Gaming Room in Casino de Mendoza en el Este, in
Argentina’s department of San Martín, will generate about 1,000 jobs and becomes a pole of tourist attraction, cultural and artistic, for Mendoza residents and national and international tourists. The investment is about US$39.4 million and includes the construction of a four-star hotel with 55 rooms, with spa, gym, heated pool, large gastronomic square, event square, convention centre of 1,600 m2 and 17 commercial premises. Previously, the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission had announced the opening of three casinos in the country for this year, in quality hotels, with the creation of more than 325 direct jobs and also generating important sources of revenue for the Government. The fi rst casino will be located in the
capital San Juan, at the Condado Plaza Hilton hotel, which already has a great track record and history in the Condado tourist area. This has an investment of US$33 million and will generate around 200 direct jobs. The other two casinos will be at the Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in the Dorado del Mar Beach Resort and the Tribute FortfolioPonce Grand Casino in Ponce. With the high calibre companies
investing in Latam’s gaming industry, 2022 promises to be the year of the Latin American gaming renaissance. We will see how the global landscape shapes up when Clarion Gaming announces the new date for ICE of London that has been postponed from February to the month of April.
