Focus on Sheet Materials
It’s incredibly important to choose the correct materials and substrates in order to create visually appealing and long-lasting signage. Over the next few pages are some options to get the creative juices flowing.
Antalis New black recycled core option added to Triaprint range
Antalis has added to its existing sustainable Triaprint range.
Following a period of review and development, Triaprint now offers users a new, black recycled core option exclusive to Antalis.
Triaprint R Black Recycled Core is made from post-industrial waste, combining die-cutting waste and returned polypropylene packaging.
The new black core with recycled content is a key step in improving sustainability and means the product has achieved Antalis’ Green Star System rating of 4.
Triaprint is ideal for various applications, including point of sale and display, signage, exhibition panels and packaging. UV additives increase the life of Triaprint sheets for outdoor applications, while the new black recycled core features approximately 30% post-industrial waste content and improves the opacity of the sheets for two-sided printing.
For indoor use where fire rating is required, the existing range of Triaprint FR achieves the classification B – s1 – d0 according to the European EN 13501 standard.

Foam PVC boasts a unique combination of features that make it a compelling choice for exhibition stands:
• Lightweight champion: Compared to traditional materials like wood or MDF, foamboard is a featherweight. This translates to easier transportation, installation, and dismantling – a boon for businesses participating in multiple exhibitions throughout the year. Reduced weight also means potential cost savings on shipping and stand construction.
• Versatility unbound: Available in several thicknesses, including 3mm, 5mm and 10mm, foamboard isn’t just for flat panels. The thinner sizes – in particular the 3mm – can be bent around curved modular frameworks and modular stand frames to create interesting curves and give your modular display extra aesthetic appeal. It can be cut into intricate shapes, allowing for creative displays and unique design elements. This opens doors for creating branded signage, product displays, furniture and even 3D elements to add depth and visual interest to your stand.
• Cost-effective winner: Foamboard offers excellent value for money. It’s generally less expensive than other materials while still delivering a professional presentation. This makes it ideal for businesses with budget constraints or for creating temporary displays.
• Printing playground: Foamboard provides a smooth, clean surface that takes printing exceptionally well. High-resolution graphics, logos, and marketing messages can be directly printed onto the board, creating stunning visuals that grab attention and communicate your brand message effectively.
• Durability that surprises: While lightweight, foamboard is surprisingly durable. It can withstand bumps and scrapes often encountered during busy exhibition days. Many foamboard varieties are moisture-resistant, making them suitable for environments with moderate humidity control.
• Eco-conscious considerations: This is a crucial factor for B2B companies increasingly seeking sustainable solutions that align with their environmental values. The good news is that standard foam boards are also recyclable, being a type of plastic that can be ground down and reused.
Cherwell works closely with high volume printers, events and exhibition companies to ascertain needs and work on long term contracts.
Consistent service and supply are such a key part in enabling a long-term relationship and working closely with clients to map trends and seasonality, means Cherwell can react fast to ensure stock is always available to meet the needs of just in time scheduling.
