PressOn designs and installs sustainable stadium wraps at Wrexham AFC

A

s its global technology partner, Wrexham AFC has worked with long term HP customer, PressOn for the design and installation of new graphics within the Stok Cae Ras football stadium.

The job required custom made wraps to be designed, developed, and installed for a variety of spaces within Wrexham AFC’s stadium, including the corridors leading to the player dressing rooms. The designs created had to highlight the legacy, achievement, and history of the football club to every player who will walk through the corridors over the next few years.

Working in conjunction with the HP teams, PressOn was tasked with developing a vibrant design spanning several areas within the lower Wrexham Lager Stand and, more importantly, a design that spans into a new, exciting era for Wrexham AF Club branding, and some much needed colour were

Wrexham AFC’s executive director, Humphrey Ker, said: “We’re thrilled with the design that has been printed across the corridors and player tunnel within the Stok Cae Ras. Not only is the finished piece visibly bold and impressive, but with its eco credentials this work underlines Wrexham AFC’s commitment

Crabb Engineering increases service offering by bringing laser engraving in-house

rabb Enigneering has invested in a WidLaser F150 Fibre Laser machine supplied and installed

by Graphtec GB.

The machine was installed after the company made the decision to bring its operations in-house.

Josh Fox, co-owner of Crabb Engineering, said: “Installing a laser engraving facility in-house has given us many key advantages. By offering this service in-house, we can provide our customers with faster, more responsive, and more flexible service at a lower cost. It also gives us improved profitability and increased workforce job security.” During its search for the right equipment, Crabb discovered Graphtec GB. Mr Fox said: “Their local presence was a significant advantage. Graphtec GB quickly understood our business and requirements and demonstrated a laser machine that perfectly suited our needs.

“The finished products met our customer requirements, and the price of the WidLaser F150 was within our budget, making our decision to proceed straightforward.”

Soon afterwards, Graphtec GB supplied and installed the machine and provided training to Crabb. Mr Fox added: “The whole installation and training process went very well. The machine and the software that runs it are very intuitive and the operators picked it up very quickly. The Graphtec GB team has been a great support, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They were also happy to provide additional guidance when we purchased the rotary attachment. We now have two operators trained on the laser machine, and they find it easy to use.” While laser engraving is still a relatively small part of Crabb’s overall business, it is an important addition to its existing

to enhance the stadium in a more sustainable manner.

“The latest designs embody our well-stated ambitions, within the Club’s mission statement, of matching progress on the pitch with the progression we have made on it. As we look to continue climbing the footballing pyramid, projects like this with HP and PressOn help us to elevate the stadium in parallel and transform these spaces through innovative design with HP Latex technology.”

We invested in this machine because it fits our strategy to expand our service offerings and continue delivering outstanding value. It’s a decision that supports our long-term goals of growth, efficiency, and maintaining our position as a leader in precision engineering.”
