Industry News Mimaki releases new roll-to-roll printer A


new, easy-to-use roll-to-roll printer has been released by Mimaki.


The JV200-160 uses eco-solvent inks and is packed with features to ensure reliable, productive operation and outstanding print quality. The new printer offers many functions designed for ease-of-use and maintenance while printing exceptional quality signage at a practical production speed of 17m sq/hr.


Other features include the Ink Saving function, which reduces costs with just two simple clicks while maintaining natural colours, and the automatic media adjustment function (DAS; Dot Adjustment System) enables easy and accurate pre-print adjustment.


Incorporating Mimaki’s Printer Information Cloud Technology (PICT) also optimises ink efficiency and maintenance, as well as providing the option for remote monitoring, grouped

Boxer wins Innotech’s Pets in Print competition

The panel, which included Carys Evans from Karis Copp Media, Colin Sinclair McDermott, the Online Print Coach, and Jack Gocher and Kathryn Ridout from Eye on Display, all agreed on the decision as the good boy adorned the Pets in Print bandana along with a branded hoodie. Ms Evans said: “This has been a really hard decision as all the entries have their own appeal. I’d give them all prizes if I could. Special mentions also went to Koda from Woodlodge Products, who the judges unanimously named the Rising Star, and Pepper and Pixie from Liyu England, who took the prize for Dynamic Duo. The competition is an annual event and is run by Innotech Digital and Display.
