atching criminals, busting gangs, and now South Wales Police has improved its signage printing capabilities with the installation of a new Easymount Hybrid. The police force bought into the new hardware after its demand increased. Staff members visited Sign & Digital UK in Birmingham, where they saw the kit in action at Vivid Laminating Technologies’ stand.

Print manager of the South Wales Police, Stuart Evans, said: “As an

in-plant design and print facility, signage has become a big part of our business. “Year on year demand has increased, and to meet the needs of the organisation, we felt we had to improve on our existing capabilities. “We had previously used an Easymount EM-1400SH, and it has served us well, but we could see that the Easymount Hybrid would increase productivity and enable us to get through work more quickly. “We are already seeing the benefits, it’s fast, user-friendly and produces

said: “The JWEI has been a revelation for us. We were looking for a machine that could support our growing focus on printing directly onto plywood and other sustainable materials, and the JWEI has exceeded our expectations. He visited CMYUK’s demonstration centre in Shrewsbury with low expectations of the JWEI, bringing with him a range of materials and live jobs to rigorously test its capabilities. Mr Canale was particularly impressed by the JWEI’s overall quality, the power

and speed of the router. The tool changer, along with the belt feed, has significantly improved productivity, allowing the team to focus on other tasks while the JWEI handles long-run jobs with precision and reliability. Its performance and reliability have enabled Blue Gecko to take on more complex, multi-layered designs across a variety of materials, further expanding their service offerings. Mr Canale added: “We’ve already completed two relatively big jobs that wouldn’t have been possible without the V-Cut tool, so the JWEI is already opening up new revenue streams for us.”
