China Print Supplies (CPS) has introduced two new printers to challenge the accepted thinking in the market. These printers offer fantastic speed, quality, reliability and value like nothing else on the market. CPS has launched the ThunderJet AQ1800UV 1.8m roll-to-roll UV printer in the UK. This competitively priced, high-resolution, high-speed UV printer supports standard roll widths of up to 1.8m. CPS is already known for its SinoColor range, which was on show at Sign & Digital UK, and it is now strategically complementing its range with this exciting roll-to-roll offering. Scott Clutton, managing director, said, “This is a high-resolution UV 1.8m roll-to-roll printer that delivers much more than its price tag would suggest. “The superb build quality ensures stability, even through continuous operation, for excellent print results.” The ThunderJet is designed for multi-layer printing on a range of substrates and comes with both white ink and a varnish option. It is equipped with four Epson i3200 print heads, which deliver 720x1200 dpi prints at speeds of up to 58.5m sq/hr and multi-layer printing up to 20m sq/hr. simultaneous double-sided printing, which is available in 3.2m and 5m, with 2m coming soon. It has two individual print carriages, allowing it to print on both sides of the media at the same time. This means that it doesn’t need reloading to print on the other side like a normal printer. Mr Clutton continued: “When not printing double-sided, you can print with each carriage independently. This means you can print one job on one side and a different job on the other, saving time and money. This printer is a real game-changer.” Double-sided print speeds are up to 48m sq/hr on the
entry-level model, 100m sq/hr on the mid-level model, and 150m sq/hr on the top-spec model. CPS offers both printers with a 12-month gold warranty.

• Enhanced productivity and sustainability: The HydrAton 1642 operates at significantly lower temperatures (30-50°C) compared to conventional printers, ensuring compatibility with heat-sensitive substrates and reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Its unique printing and drying mechanism, which includes a three-way heater, blower fan, and UV LED lamp, contributes to enhanced durability and superior image quality.
• User-friendly automation: To streamline workflows, the printer includes Mutoh’s VerteLith RIP software and features such as DropMaster 2 (automatically adjusting bi-directional alignment), FeedMaster (automating media feed correction), and Media Tracker (printing and scanning barcodes to track remaining media length, reducing material waste).
