he new owner of Grafityp UK has decided to close operations at the


company’s Tamworth site by the end of 2025.


Grafityp UK was acquired by UPM in July 2024 and this decision supports the company’s broader goals of strengthening its operations, capitalising on synergies and integrating the acquired companies more closely with the global UPM group. Call for action from BPIF as it releases Priorities for Print results


T


he BPIF has outlined a list of priorities for policymakers to help grow the print industry over the


next two years.


The organisation released its Priorities for Print survey on July 9, communicating the top 10 ways the industry is currently feeling that policy is preventing industry growth, and what action could be taken to improve the situation.


It addressed myths within the businesses and highlighted that print is sustainable, credible and innovative, and the key role it plays in the UK economy. Finally, Priorities for Print includes stories of successful visits by MPs to printers in their constituencies and calls on policymakers to learn more about the vital local and national contributions printing companies make.


BPIF CEO, Charles Jarrold, said: “The

Clarity Software celebrates first anniversary since Inktavo Group acquisition

larity Software has celebrated its first anniversary since its acquisition by Inktavo Group. The creator of Management Information System (MIS) software the takeover has allowed Clarity to increase product innovation and improve customer service.


The company has leveraged the increased resources of Inktavo to implement a robust product development and customer-focused business strategy to meet the evolving needs of the UK sign and print industry. Sam Yarnall, sales and marketing director for Clarity Software, said: “We have been the leading MIS provider for the UK sign and print market for many years, and our goal is to build even further on this position.


“We have always been committed to continuous product development, and over the last year, we have super-charged this commitment thanks to the additional support and investment from Inktavo.”


And in other news, Clarity Software has entered into a strategic partnership with Sign Trade Supplies to integrate the STS product catalogue into the Clarity Management Information System.


Clarity users will now have direct access to the STS range of products.
