P+D installs second Elitron system A

second Elitron cutting system has been installed at P+D to improve in-house quality and

efficiency. The Irish company first invested in an Elitron Kombo TAV cutting system in 2022. John Lloyd, operations director at P+D,

said: “The installation of the Elitron Kombo TAV had a very positive impact on our operations. It significantly increased our speed and efficiency, especially for short-run and complex jobs. It also meant we no longer rely on physical dies, which reduced both setup times and costs, making us much more agile.” Investing in the Elitron Kombo THC twin

beam 3200x1600 cutting system provides P+D with greater operational resilience, allowing the commercial print provider to run multiple jobs simultaneously. Mr Lloyd added: “The THC’s twin-head

cutting configuration allows us to double productivity on repeat or high-volume jobs, helping us meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.” Following the installation P+D has seen a 40 to 50% increase in cutting output compared to the company’s previous single- head system, while setup and changeover times have been reduced by around 30%. Mr Lloyd said: “Faster turnaround times mean clients can bring products to market

JCUT-2131 digital cutting table. Since its UK launch in September 2023, JWEI JCUT cutting tables have disrupted the finishing market leaderboard, offering all the capabilities of premium brands, with a rich feature set included as standard – at an unprecedented price. Mr Partington added: “I’ve used various

high value prints. Its advanced UV ink formulation provides superior adhesion enabling it to print to the widest range of substrates for numerous applications. EFI’s UltraDrop technology also ensures 7pL greyscale printing in resolutions of up to 1,200dpi, while a magnetic linear drive guarantees precise drop placement. This is the first time that Signcraft has used direct to substrate UV white ink in-house, and the transition has significantly transformed printing operations. Staff no longer need to manually cut and apply white vinyl as a backing to glass and acrylics, and this direct-to-substrate print capability is opening new opportunities.
