Also in Soyang’s collection is Rip Stop Banner (AL2 450), another PVC-coated polyester material that is also compatible with the three printer ink types. Soyang Europe also offers Semi Coated Banner (PL2 510), a
long-term, 510gsm PVC-coated polyester material for indoor and outdoor application. With a fire rating of B1, this opens up the material’s use in environments across education, restaurants, retail and sports venues. In addition, Vectaplan Panama Print is a white, opaque substrate for high quality printable truck curtain sides, making it ideal for long-term fleet advertising/ branding. Its flexibility means the ink isn’t going to crack and flake off while being put under tension or being washed at a truck wash. Admiral Tapes has over 40 years of knowledge spread across multiple industry sectors, but is a specialist in the signage market having developed and introduced industry specific products – one such product is EDGE-Tex. EDGE-Tex Tape is a self-adhesive version of the silicone strip that is traditionally stitched to a printed graphic so it can be installed into light boxes or exhibition frames. Admiral Tapes’ special adhesive ingresses into the fabric to ensure a secure bond and once the display is no longer needed the PVC strip can be removed so that the fabric can be recycled. EDGE-Tex is applied by hand and is not designed to be used with a sewing machine. It can be used to install all sides of a graphic into a lightbox or exhibition stand but it can also be used in conjunction with stitched silicone edges for example, one side is left open for positioning, sizing and straightening with EDGE-Tex.
