Antalis the ‘ideal’ choice for Thunk Studio’s new musical exhibition

n exhibition celebrating the wonders of music has been brought to life thanks to Antalis and its Stadur Easyprint. The product has helped bring wall graphics to the new attraction, which recognises 60 years of music innovation by Japanese instrument manufacturer Korg.

Created by Antalis’ partner, Thunk Studio, it has been on display in Brentford’s Musical Museum since September 17, 2024.

Graphic panels portraying Korg’s musical heritage feature prominently throughout the space, with reproductions of historic advertisements, photographs and design details. Antalis’ Stadur Easyprint was a

key substrate used across the project. Martin Malins, owner of Thunk Studio, said: “We needed a lightweight yet durable substrate with high-quality graphic reproduction capabilities, which made the 10mm Stadur Easyprint an ideal choice.”

The installation presented unique challenges, with some graphic panels spanning over 2.5 metres in length. Thunk Studio’s approach saw the panels mounted on spacers designed from the same Stadur substrate to minimise waste and enable clean wall installation without intrusive mechanical fixings.

Mr Malins continued: “Working in close collaboration with Antalis Specification Consultant Claire White allowed us to

“This approach enabled the client to fully visualise the concept before implementation.”

The ReTac Textures media was supplied by Premier, Drytac’s exclusive partner in the UK and Ireland for all wide-format print media. Oriel Studios used its HP Latex 800W to print the graphics in-house.
