S
igns Express is set to launch two new business models, which aim
to complement its existing resale and start-up models. The Rebrand Proposition and Conversion Resale Model both offer flexible, fully supported solutions to help owners grow, transition, or sell their business, while maintaining local legacy and maximising long-term success. The Rebrand proposition was soft-launched at the beginning of the year, with the new owners of Signs
Express Exeter reaping the benefits. The franchise rebranded its established local brand KBS Signs and joined the Signs Express network, which saw its orders double almost overnight. The model is aimed at independent signage or print businesses seeking to scale but facing barriers. Aaron Davis, network development director at Signs Express, said: “This model gives business owners the best of both worlds, freedom to run their business, with the support and structure to accelerate growth. “Our goal is to empower local signage experts with the tools and backing they need to thrive in today’s market.” The Conversion Resale Model is aimed at businesses looking to sell up in a way of doing so that is
Baroness Theresa May to speak at 196th Printing Charity Annual Luncheon
F
ormer prime minister Theresa May is set to be the keynote speaker at The Printing Charity’s 196th Luncheon as tickets are now on sale. The annual event is changing venues from last year, moving to Plaisterers’ Hall in the heart of London, allowing guests to spend more time in the company of others from the print industry. Baroness May, who is also the president of the charity, will be in
attendance, speaking with attendees and speaking on the day.
Neil Lovell, Printing Charity CEO, said: “We’re really proud to host this annual event to bring people in our industry together, to provide a forum to share the current opportunities and challenges facing the sector, as well as to celebrate industry successes, and the impact that the Printing Charity has had supporting people since the start of the year.
fully managed and hassle-free. Signs Express will act as a broker, managing the end-to-end sales process and marketing the business under the Sign Express name. Once sold, the business is rebranded as a Signs Express centre, maintaining continuity for customers and teams, and offering the buyer a ready-to- trade operation with the support of a recognised franchise. All this comes with a no-sale-no-fee promise. Mr Davis continued: “Selling a business can be a stressful and expensive process, especially for owner-operators.
“We aim to remove those barriers, making the transition as smooth and beneficial as possible for all involved.”
“By choosing to hold this year’s Luncheon in a larger venue, we are responding to the challenge we’ve had in recent years, where we’ve had more people wishing to attend than places available. “We also recognise that more people will wish to come to hear from the former prime minister as our keynote speaker, and very much look forward to hearing what she has to say.” The event will take place on November 13, opening with a drinks reception and concluding by 3.30pm.
