Donation for clean water Industry charity BPEC is
supporting international water aid efforts via a £3,500 donation to Aquabox, a volunteer-led charity that provides filtration units and other humanitarian aid to crisis zones around the world. The Aquabox volunteers manufacture and assemble the water filters which are shipped internationally to countries and communities where clean running water is unavailable. The family filter is capable of filtering water at the rate of one litre per minute and is designed to meet the
needs of a typical family group. Aquabox also provides a larger community filter which uses the same technology but scaled up to process up to six litres per minute and is created for schools, clinics and community centres. To date, over 125,000 water
filters have been produced by volunteers and dispatched to disaster areas and conflict zones. So far over 50 countries have received aid from Aquabox and an estimated 2 billion litres of contaminated water has been converted into safe, clean water.

UFH demo center opens in Wales
A new demonstration centre has been opened by Wunda Group at its headquarters in Caldicot, Wales. This facility aims to demystify underfloor heating installation, emphasising the cost, energy, and time-saving benefits of Wunda’s Rapid Response and WundaSmart systems. It will also seek to educate both trade and consumer visitors on the ease with which their overfloor systems can be installed. Four demonstration tables take the customer through the UFH journey, from delivery to an installed product. Staff will be on hand to answer questions ranging from what floor finishes are compatible to installation specifics to the kind of savings homeowners can expect to see. ◼
