Monobloc solution for residential applications

The Hydrolution EZY range of A2W heat pumps from MHIAE offers heating, cooling, and hot water solutions for residential properties. The series incorporates advanced technologies and utilises R32 refrigerant to enhance efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. An integrated water heat exchanger in the outdoor unit eliminates the need for refrigerant piping and simplifies the installation process. Units in the series feature improved anti-vibration technology,

which reduces sound power levels effectively, including noise to 60dB (A) in the 10kW class model, even when running at full capacity. The addition of a quiet mode further reduces operational noise and ensures compliance with various noise regulations, particularly important in densely populated residential areas. Hydrolution EZY units also work effectively in a wide range of

outside temperatures, from -25°C to 43°C, and can deliver 60°C hot water even when the outside temperature is -25°C, making them a suitable replacement for combustion-type boilers in cold regions. To enhance convenience and control, MHIAE has integrated

the Uplink platform, a dedicated app for real-time performance monitoring. This user-friendly application not only helps identify maintenance requirements but also ensures optimal efficiency, offering a comprehensive solution for seamless control and oversight of the heat pumps. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/424/70

How to protect against carbon monoxide

The SleepSafe range of carbon monoxide (CO) alarms from Arctic Hayes offers protection against carbon monoxide and includes the SleepSafe COA7 and COA10 alarms. They are suitable for residential spaces, caravans, boats, and social housing. These alarms feature an 85dB alarm sound and three visual LED indicators for power, alarm, and fault. For comprehensive safety, the SleepSafe combined

carbon monoxide and smoke alarm is a dual-function alarm that detects both carbon monoxide and smoke. It uses a replaceable 9V battery and has an 85dB speaker alert. The alarm’s sensitivity levels can detect 50ppm of CO in 60-90 minutes, 100ppm in 10-40

minutes and 300ppm in just three minutes. The smoke sensor has a lifespan of ten years, and the CO alarm includes a memory function. For portability, the

SleepSafe Personal Carbon Monoxide Detector is a

lightweight CO alarm with a belt clip, hanging hook, LED readout, and a long-life Li-ion battery. It emits a loud 75dB alarm if CO levels exceed 30ppm. This device is suitable for heating engineers, emergency responders, and holidaymakers who require a portable CO alarm. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/424/73

Transparency in environmental impact

To help customers understand the environmental impact of Loctite products, the company has created four categories that reveal their characteristics. All Loctite solutions are now classified as one of the following: Pioneer – products that offer tangible

improvements in sustainability compared to the average market solution or standard. Contributor – products that deliver a positive contribution in terms of sustainability, without necessarily being better than other available products. Straight performer – products that contain no harmful substances. Challenged – products that may contain substances harmful for health and safety. “Good manufacturing practice now requires,

rightly, an understanding of the environmental impact of any given technique or solution,” says applications engineering manager Gavin Jackson. “Engineers should be aware of exactly what they’re using and be diligent when sourcing suppliers to be sure they have a proven track record of improving their sustainability.” ◼ phamnews.co.uk/424/74

Accommodates higher flow rates

Specially designed to protect heat pump systems from loss of efficiency and breakdown caused by sludge and scale accumulation, the new BoilerMagHP magnetic filter comes supplied with 28mm bore isolation valves, accommodating the greater flow rates common to heat pump systems. In addition, the bigger valves reduce the risk of pressure drops, which can affect heat pump efficiency. The filter utilises BoilerMag’s patented dual flow

technology and incorporates high-intensity magnets and optimum flow dynamics, said to ensure extremely high magnetite collection rates, even at higher flow rates. A scale guard provides additional protection against limescale. The new filter also includes features such as in-line installation, 360˚adjustment, and high collection capacity.

Contamination risks can be more acute in heat

pump systems as they typically operate at lower temperatures. This means they can be more susceptible to bacteria and slime, which thrive in sludge-contaminated systems. BoilerMagHP works to counter these risks, removing contamination from the system and protecting the heat pump. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/424/71

Minimalist aesthetic

The ILI collection of shower doors by Flair Showers is designed for young families, offering durability, simplicity, and style. It includes a range of 1950mm high shower doors, such as bi-fold, slider, hinge, sliding quadrants, and hinged quadrants. The doors are available in silver, matte black, and brushed brass finishes. Crafted from 6mm toughened safety glass, the doors feature

a clearvue hydrophobic coating that resists limescale and grime build-up. The handle is ergonomically designed and includes an integrated towel or robe hook. The minimalist profiles and curved hinges create a clean and stylish aesthetic. Flair’s patented Click Fit assembly system ensures easy and

secure installation without the need for screws. The doors are fully reversible for left or right-handed installation. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/424/72

Fluted design is framed in gorgeous brushed brass

The new range of Fluted Glass ‘Iconix’ wetrooms from Bathrooms to Love is now available in a striking brushed brass finish, providing golden tones thanks to its profiles and support arms. From the top-of-the-range

RefleXion Iconix Enclosures collection, the new brushed brass fluted wetroom panels combine soft glass fluting with luxurious 8mm toughened safety glass. The panels are described as being manufactured using high quality crystal-clear glass, meaning no green tint – often seen on wetroom panels – giving the fluted glass screens a crisp contemporary edge.

The high specification

theme continues with an ‘Easy Clean’ coating applied to the glass, meaning practical low maintenance and longevity, as well as concealed fixings throughout the profiles and arms, adding to wetroom’s sleek lines and finish. Panels can be installed directly onto a prepared wetroom floor or on a tray and come in a choice of four widths: 800, 900, 1000 and 1200mm. The fluted panels measure

1950mm and are available with optional side panels in two widths (800 and 900mm) making the range even more versatile. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/424/75
