Tested to perfection in blended gas
A new series of burners called RS and RX have been launched by Riello to deliver high performance when using natural gas and hydrogen blends of up to 20%. They have undergone extensive testing to ensure seamless operation with the specifi ed gas blends. The testing and certifi cation process adheres to the standards outlined in DVGW CERT ZP 3502 edition 01.12.2022, and the burners have received the EU-Type examination certifi cate. The RS and RX burners incorporate the
latest technology to ensure precise power control and superior combustion quality throughout various operational stages.
Riello says that
while these burners maintain the same level of reliability and robustness as its standard product line, these burners have undergone specifi c testing and certifi cation for the use of fl uctuating natural gas and hydrogen blends, with hydrogen
content of up to 20%. This feature allows for safe and reliable combustion within a range of blend percentages, making the burners suitable for potential future hydrogen injections into the UK natural gas grid, if such a development occurs, without the need for additional adjustments. ◼
