Sector Guide MX Master 4
Logitech has introduced the MX Master 4, the latest addition to its MX Master series, designed for professionals seeking greater precision and efficiency in their workflows. The mouse is the first in the series to feature customizable haptic feedback, offering tactile responses during scrolling, navigation and selection. This development is intended to enhance control in tasks such as video editing, design and data analysis, where subtle feedback can improve accuracy. Tolya Polyanker, General Manager of the MX Business at Logitech, said the device was created to help advanced users streamline their work and reduce repetitive actions. The MX Master 4 integrates Actions Ring, a digital overlay enabled by Logi Options+ software, which provides app-specific shortcuts and customizable controls. Logitech reports that this feature can reduce repetitive mouse movements by more than half, while saving significant time in applications such as Photoshop and Excel.
Signature Slim Solar+ K980
Logitech has launched the Signature Slim Solar+ K980, a wireless keyboard powered by light rather than traditional charging methods. The device uses the company’s proprietary Logi LightCharge technology, enabling it to draw energy from any light source, whether natural or artificial. Once fully charged, the keyboard can operate for up to four months in complete darkness, removing the need for cables or routine charging and aiming to simplify everyday use. Art O’Gnimh, General Manager of Logitech’s Core Products
Group, said the keyboard was designed to eliminate charging concerns and provide a seamless user experience. The product features a full-size layout with laptop-style scissor- switch keys, intended to balance comfort and efficiency. It also supports multi-device connectivity, allowing users to switch between up to three devices across operating systems with Easy-Switch keys.
Connectivity has also been strengthened. The MX Master 4 includes a high-performance chip and optimised antenna placement, delivering twice the connection strength of its predecessor. A new USB-C dongle supports quick pairing across multiple devices, while multi-device functionality allows users to switch between laptops, desktops and tablets seamlessly. The MX Master 4 for Business version incorporates features for easier deployment and monitoring through Logitech Sync, enabling IT teams to manage devices remotely. Sustainability has been emphasised in the design, with recycled plastics, cobalt and aluminium used in construction, alongside packaging sourced from certified materials. Logitech positions the MX Master 4 as a durable, adaptable tool for modern professional environments.
The Signature Slim Solar+ integrates with Logitech’s software ecosystem, including Logi Options+, which enables customisation of shortcut keys and smart actions. An AI Launch Key provides quick access to preferred tools, reflecting the growing role of artificial intelligence in workplace productivity. For business environments, the K980 for Business version includes secure connectivity through Logi Bolt and remote monitoring via Logitech Sync, giving IT teams oversight of device status without requiring desk visits. Sustainability is a central aspect of the design. The graphite version incorporates 70 per cent post-consumer recycled plastic, while the rechargeable battery is engineered to last up to a decade. Logitech highlighted these measures as part of its broader sustainability commitments, aiming to reduce environmental impact while ensuring durability and reliability.
