What metrics or KPIs should resellers use to demonstrate the value of circular IT to their customers? Resellers should demonstrate both the cost and carbon benefits of circular IT. With TruScale Device as a Service (DaaS) for Sustainability, organisations can cut device-related costs by up to 35%, while also extending device lifespans. In fact, 57% of DaaS adopters report a lower cost per seat. We also see that extending devices’ lifecycle through refurbishment has a huge carbon impact. We are currently modelling this and will publish verified LCAs in the coming months to allow our customers to better measure the actual impact of certified refurbished devices on carbon emissions. We are also seeing businesses that adopt the service oſten achieve

IT maintenance savings of 10-40%, showing how circular IT delivers measurable impact across cost efficiency, performance, and sustainability. More broadly, we’re seeing enterprises rethink the entire way they

manage IT, with a new focus not just on performance but on purpose. Our service offers modular options at every stage of the device lifecycle to help businesses of any size reduce e-waste, manage footprint, measure impact, and recover value, ranging from the Carbon Impact Portal through to Asset Recovery Services.

What’s next for Lenovo’s sustainability services roadmap? We are seeing a movement to companies demanding more sustainable IT, which includes setting internal targets around emissions reduction or even the use of refurbished devices. Regulations mean that companies have to have a solid data infrastructure to be able to report on their IT emissions. We will soon be launching our refresh services, which will allow

companies to refurbish their existing Lenovo hardware, upgrade performance, and extend life, cutting costs and carbon with longer high productivity use cycles. We’re doubling down on repairability and end-of-life management and sustainable design, with a goal for 100% of PC products to contain post-consumer recycled plastic by FY2025/26. Lenovo’s already responsibly retired over one million devices, and ESG metrics have been embedded into how we measure success for more than a decade. It’s an ongoing journey, but one we’re fully committed to leading
