Sector Guide Omada unveils Fusion Gateway
OMADA, TP-Link’s business solutions brand, has launched its Fusion Gateway product line, a new generation of integrated networking devices designed to streamline deployment, improve network performance and reduce the operational burden on small businesses. Announced in London on 15 June, the range targets restaurants, retail stores, offices and other SMB environments that often operate with limited IT support. At the centre of the Omada ecosystem, Fusion Gateway provides unified management for Omada-connected devices across multiple sites. The new line is positioned as a significant upgrade for distributed businesses, enabling faster rollout and more efficient maintenance while improving overall network reliability. The first products in the series are Fusion 2.5G, Fusion G+ and Fusion 2.5G PoE, each designed to support different deployment requirements. Fusion 2.5G includes a built-in controller offering licence-free cloud management, allowing users to monitor, configure and troubleshoot networks remotely via the Omada Cloud portal or app. This approach removes the need for device licences and reduces ongoing management overheads. Setup has been simplified through Bluetooth onboarding and automatic discovery of Omada devices, enabling batch adoption to speed up installation. The gateway supports desktop, wall and rack mounting to suit varied environments. Fusion 2.5G is powered by a quad-core CPU and features five 2.5G ports, up to four-WAN load balancing with auto failover, and advanced IDS/IPS. According to Omada, this delivers reliable, high-speed connectivity with VPN performance up to five times faster than comparable products. A 2.51-inch touchscreen provides real-time visibility into device status, traffic and diagnostics, reducing the need for laptops during on-site troubleshooting.
3-in-1 wireless charging with Qi2
VERBATIM has expanded its mobile power range with the Charge ’n’ Go Qi2 Power Bank, a compact unit designed to charge up to four devices at once. The new model combines magnetic Qi2 wireless charging with USB-C fast charging and comes in 5,000mAh (Grey) and 10,000mAh (Grey and White) capacities. Supporting the latest Qi2 wireless charging standard, the Charge ’n’ Go delivers up to 15W to compatible smartphones, with magnetic alignment ensuring accurate positioning. For wired charging, the unit supports USB Power Delivery 3.0 with PPS and Quick Charge 3.0, delivering up to 20W on the 5,000mAh version and up to 30W on the 10,000mAh model. The bi-directional USB-C port can recharge the power bank itself or power connected devices.
A folding stand supports smartphones in portrait or landscape mode, while the compact ABS and aluminium alloy housing incorporates an LED battery indicator and six protection systems for safe operation.

The new Omada LightLink VPN offers secure, one-click
remote access via an invite link, allowing remote staff or branch locations to connect through the app or web interface. Additional software capabilities include multiple VPN protocols, optimised ACL and QoS, and full-mesh SD-WAN for distributed networks.

Omada also announced plans for the Fusion Pro series, aimed at more advanced multi-site environments. The Pro range will support integrated management of networking and surveillance devices, including Omada and VIGI products, offering a single-vendor ecosystem to simplify deployment and reduce ownership costs. Omada’s broader portfolio spans gateways, switches and
Wi-Fi 7 access points, with the ecosystem expanding to include cameras and NVRs to support unified management across networking and surveillance.
