at Pure Electric, responsible for marketing, e-commerce, and customer services. Scott Randall, Smith
Eyewear and helmet brand Smith has appointed Scott Randall as its global vice president of product. Randall previously worked for
Nike Australia focusing on retail and merchandising, before beginning an 18-year spell with Oakley. After joining the Australian subsidiary of Oakley
in 2004, Randall worked through customer service, sales, and product management, before in 2012 moving to Oakley’s corporate HQ in California, where he focused on strategy, production creation, and growing sales. Mark Phares, global general manager at Smith, said: “We’re excited to welcome Scott to the Smith community. His years of industry experience and strong leadership will ensure we continue to innovate and raise the bar across all current and future product categories.” Randall will handle all aspects of
product in his new role, from category strategy through to research, design, and development. Reporting directly to Phares, Randall is based out of the Smith headquarters in Portland, Oregon. •
Sparky Moir and Michael Potter, BikeFlights
Bike shipping service and supplier of bike boxes BikeFlights has promoted two employees, Sparky Moir and Michael Potter. Moir moves up into the role of
BikeFlights’ support team director while Potter has stepped up to become BikeFlights’ partnership director. Moir now oversees all operations for
Jake Segrin, Hayes Performance Systems
Hayes Performance Systems has announced the addition of Jake Segrin to the bicycle group’s marketing team. Segrin is taking the role of marketing
manager for the Americas within the Hayes Bicycle Group and brings a wealth of marketing and sales experience after over eight years in the outdoor power equipment Industry.
BikeFlights’ customer support team, including managers and staff members who take care of customer orders, shipping, deliveries and claims. Since joining BikeFlights in 2018, Moir has filled the roles of customer experience associate and customer orders manager. Potter develops new partnerships and manages existing relationships and communications with partner events, bike shops, ambassadors, manufacturers and other bike industry companies. •
His experience leading domestic and international marketing strategy, while supporting a dealer and distributor network of independently owned businesses, transitions well into Hayes Bicycle Group’s market strategy, said the company. Segrin has years of experience delivering on marketing tactics such as social media management, customer community building, sponsorships, event and trade show management, product training, and web development. •
