want to mount it to the bike or cases and sleeves if you don’t want to. And I think that pretty much differentiates us from competition.” The Essentials line has performed well in the markets Daysaver is currently in, but that’s not stopping them from expanding their range and introducing the Incredible line – which was also funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign.
“It’s the same principle, so it’s also an
Allen key form factor, but with a foldable arm. If you can fold the arm then it looks like a pen. And when it looks like a pen, you’re able still to put it on the bike or in your pocket or whatever, but you can also put it in the bike. “We’ll start with the multi-tool, the tubeless tool and the handlebar mount. It’s not that we think this is the absolute best place to put a tool, but it is the smallest place, and if it fits there, it fits anywhere. And then we will provide steerer mounts and more tools.”
The other biggest difference between the two lines is the introduction of double-sided bits, so you can mix and match your tool configuration. “With the Essential line we have the nested bits held
by magnets, but the bits of the Incredible line are double-sided with an interface so you can take them apart and configure them the way you want.
“That gives you full flexibility and is why we say it’s a tool that adjusts to you and your bike. You can put it wherever you want and you can adjust the tools to your components. So when you need something new, you can just buy a new bit and you have total flexibility.”
The Incredible line does not yet have a confirmed launch date, but Daysaver is hoping to have the products ready by the end of this year
or early next. But for the UK, their main goal is to launch the Essentials range, and they need distributors to bring this idea to life. “We’re currently selling worldwide from our webshop.
We have distributors in the US, Spain and Switzerland, and we have strong retail partnerships in Germany. I would say the US is the biggest market, but Europe is our home turf and should be in our focus, so that’s why [the] UK is really important to us.
“Since we are a smaller, newer brand, we don’t have minimum order quantities or box quantities and stuff like that. So we’re really trying to help distributors to build up the market. And I think that the best we can offer is innovative products. It’s something you can’t just buy in another shop so I think that’s our main strength.” If you are interested in becoming a UK distributor for
