Restrap, the Leeds-based bikepacking brand, has announced the appointment of Colin Williams as international sales manager.
Williams will be joining Restrap
to help enhance the company’s global presence and provide service to customers worldwide. Restrap is currently present in 27 countries across the globe. Over the course of 30 years in the industry, Williams’ career has advanced from positions in bike shops during the 90s, followed by a period of racing bikes and running mountain bike race teams. In the last two decades, Williams has
been employed by various international brands, where they have been responsible for managing UK sales. Following the announcement, Williams said: “Joining the team here at Restrap as international sales manager is an amazing opportunity. I am excited to be working for such a premium manufacturer, and will be working with all the brand’s partners in the trade, to build on the successes already achieved.”
Dave Flynn, USG
USG, the owner of 7iDP, Royal Racing and Tag Metals has strengthened its team with the hire of Dave Flynn.
Flynn will be working with UK and
international retailers to build on strong foundations to develop sales across the brands.
Flynn takes with him more than 15 years’ experience from roles with Orange Mountain Bikes, Halfords and Hotlines Europe. Following the announcement, Flynn said: “I am excited to get out there and start talking to retailers about the range, its credentials and commercial opportunities. “These brands have a rich heritage in the sport. While industry challenges obviously remain, it is a great time to review, recalibrate and push forward with products which work.” USG pivoted to a dealer-direct model in 2020 with Matt Yeo now assuming the position as managing director. Yeo said: “Having control of our own brands and distribution has hugely benefited USG. We have to thank our retail partners massively for their ongoing support.”

Thorburn will work alongside Windwave’s commercial manager, Luke Leuillette, to further strengthen the company’s offering of brands and stockists within these territories. Being able to work with some of my favourite brands and sharing my passion for them, along with supporting many of the great retailers across the South West, Wales and Ireland.” Luke Leuillette, Windwave commercial
manager, added: “Joe’s appointment as an account manager is a strong addition to Windwave. He brings some invaluable experience
to our team, plus he is highly respected and thought of in his territory, which he knows so well.
