players means that the stock position is becoming more fragile, margins are being further eroded and we are all having to find new ways to increase our market share. With a number of different strings to our corporate bow even in these challenging times, we have found opportunities by using our experience and expertise to find niche opportunities and extending our current range of products aimed at the more buoyant sectors of the market. Adapting to this evolving trade landscape is essential for business success.
What changes have you made to the portfolio, and what opportunities do they present? We have looked closely at our portfolio. We continue to play to our strengths but have also identified areas where we have significant opportunities for growth. In the past 12 months we have added KMC Chains to our parts and accessory line up and increased our offering from SR Suntour to include e-bike components alongside our existing fork business. We will also be introducing an exciting new premium range of accessories and further developing our consumable range for busy workshops. For the bike side of the business we have added YOMO, a new light-weight range of junior bikes, we believe this is the prime time to move into this sector as the loss of a few junior brands recently has left an opportunity for a new player. The initial uptake from dealers has been above our expectations and we are very pleased with how YOMO has been received. We are also about to announce a partnership with a premium bike brand. This brand has a great heritage and passion for all things two wheeled, we can’t wait to let everyone know what we are up to and firmly believe this will not only cement Greyvilles position in the market, but

will afford us significant growth over the next five years in a market which is at present contracting.
How have dealers been reacting in the current climate? Dealers are certainly more cautious than normal but given their overstock situation it is totally understandable. The next 18 months to two years is going to be difficult for all of us whilst we work through the unprecedented mess left behind by the pandemic, but we believe working in collaboration with the IBD’s will see us come out the other side in a stronger position.
Understanding the IBD’s wants and needs and identifying opportunities will help us not only gain valuable floor space, but also strengthen our relationships for the future. We have recently expanded our sales team and now believe
we have the right highly professional team in place to make this happen.
What are the upcoming plans for Greyville? At a time when many in the industry are reducing their head count, we are looking to increase ours as the business moves to the next level.
As previously mentioned, we are super excited about our new premium bike brand which will open the doors not only to new dealers but also a new way of working for Greyville. We are looking forward to broadening our market share as well as our horizons.
This has been a very conscious decision for the business as we are aware of the pitfalls other distributors have faced by growing too big too soon. We have a very solid growth plan in place and know exactly where we are heading. We are continuing to grow our digital presence through social media and marketing campaigns. Keep an eye on our social platforms and website for more details.
