Below is just a taste of some of the hot jobs available in our Brighton Studio:
What’s your role and what are you working on? As the Lead UI Artist my role is to work with the key stakeholders on establishing the visual identity of a project. Then we create assets, interactions, and animations in game - the process of which I oversee. Collaboration and communication within the UIUX team and other disciplines is essential.
Tell us about your team? Our growing team is primarily based in Brighton but we communicate with stakeholders who are in other locations as well. Sometimes it involves trips and cool team building events too.
More broadly, what’s it like to work at Hangar 13? There’s always something going on in the studio. We have events aimed to support one another in building community and a sense of belonging. Those are usually monthly themed socials, crafting and tasting, massage sessions, guest speakers, and volunteer events.
What do you love most about working at Hangar 13? The perks, benefits and the people. I’ve worked with many Hangar 13 and 2K teams and these people are genuinely some of the most welcoming and passionate people I’ve had the pleasure to work with.
June 2023
I JOINED HANGAR 13 IN APRIL and it’s been a fantastic experience so far. I came from Jagex where I spent the last six years as part of the company’s leadership team heading up all things people. The draw of Hangar 13 was the unique mix of a studio that feels indie, with a great energy and huge ambitions, but also with the support and backing of a gaming giant in 2K/Take-Two. Working on a fantastic IP like Mafia is
a huge draw and is super exciting. With more planned and a recent re-energising at the studio following Nick Baynes appointment as President last year - it really is an incredible place to be and the perfect time to join. Everyone is welcoming, experienced
and immensely passionate about what they do. Location wise, we have a hybrid approach and Brighton is a wonderfully diverse, vibrant and lively city. I made the right choice by taking the leap and encourage others to take a look - something special is happening here!
