Here are some of the key upcoming events and releases to mark on your calendar…

GAME MUSIC FESTIVAL The Game Music Festival is returning to London throughout June 2026, featuring a spectacular line-up of five live concerts dedicated to iconic video game soundtracks. Organised by the Game Music Foundation, the festival showcases video game scores performed live by world- class symphonic and jazz orchestras. Alongside the main concerts, GMF features panel discussions, masterclasses with composers, and interactive sessions. These offer aspiring composers and fans an exclusive “backstage” look at contemporary video game audio production. For example, the June 13th event includes a special Final Fantasy Pub Quiz before the show.

JUNE 6th MONOPOLY: STAR WARS HEROES

VS. VILLAINS Assemble your team, build your roster of iconic Star Wars characters, and battle with your friends and family for control of the galaxy as you move across storied planets and locations.

Choose from a wide array of Star Wars heroes and villains, each with their own unique abilities. Whether you’re teaming up with Luke Skywalker or unleashing Darth Vader, every match is packed with team strategy, surprises, and classic Star Wars moments. No two battles unfold the same way; the fate of your team is yours to shape!

I want to play as that little shoe box droid that scoots across the floor (FUN FACT: they are called ‘Mouse Droids’. You’re welcome).

STEAM NEXT FEST

Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition is a multi-day celebration where fans can try out demos, chat with developers, watch live streams, and learn about upcoming games on Steam. For developers, Steam Next Fest is an opportunity to get early feedback from players and build an audience for a future launch on Steam.

Other forthcoming Steam events include “Bullet fest” (June 8-15) featuring “Games where the screen is a chaos of bullets”. Doesn’t exactly narrow it down does it. Pew pew pew! Oh, and “Train Fest” (July 20-27th) featuring “Games about trains and railways”. Thrilling stuff to be sure.
