THE PACIFIST SYSTEM T

he Pacifist System is a high-percentage Rocket League framework built around the idea of not fighting the opponent head-on, but instead guiding them into low-percentage
decisions and then exploiting the openings that follow. Its roots come from my own competitive background. As a student
athlete, I played basketball, and later trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where patience, trap-setting and using an opponent’s aggression against them are all essential. When I looked at Rocket League coaching, much of the advice seemed to revolve around speed for the sake of speed. There was far less focus on positioning, decision-making, resource control and teamwork than I felt the game deserved.
At the entry level, there is a free fundamentals system. Players
work through training packs covering the core skills and, when they complete each challenge to the required standard, they can submit proof in Discord to earn belt roles. It creates a visible sense of progression and gives players a structured path through the basics. From there, many move into the digital or physical Pacifist System book, which explains how the mechanics fit into a wider strategic framework and helps players improve their game sense rather than simply grinding skills in isolation. Currently in beta is The Pacifist Scorer, an add-on for digital book
users that allows players to upload replays and receive feedback against key Pacifist System metrics. The scorer highlights areas for development, explains why they matter, provides in-game timestamps for context, and recommends drills from the book to target those weaknesses. With one click, users can then add those drills straight into their digital book for quick reference. The wider goal is community growth and player development. I

I began writing down ideas, systems and concepts from traditional
sport and exploring how they could apply to Rocket League. Through testing with high-level players, including then top four 1v1 player, Raidmeister, the approach proved highly effective. When I first spoke about it on Reddit and in YouTube content, plenty of people dismissed the idea. Over time, though, more players have started to buy into the fact that smart decisions, possession, boost control and structure can be just as important as raw pace or advanced mechanics. That is the core of The Pacifist System. It is not anti-mechanics,
but it is not built around flashy play either. It is a percentage-based framework designed to help players work together, control common situations and gradually break opponents down. The system has also developed through live six-week cohorts, with more than 60 players having gone through the coaching course. Over time, that philosophy has grown beyond coaching sessions into a wider learning ecosystem.
progress. One recent example is community member Sparrow, who shared his rise from Champ 3 Div 2 to Grand Champion in 2 months while applying concepts from the system in scrims and ranked play. “The Pacifist System
helps game sense and fundamentals to make you a better player.” Beyond individual
cases like that, the broader ambition is to push Rocket League closer to a true sport- style development model, with clearer pathways, better teaching and more structure than the game has traditionally offered.
