ASSASSIN’S CREED BLACK FLAG
RESYNCED Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is an upcoming built-from-the-ground-up remake of the iconic 2013 pirate adventure. Developed primarily by Ubisoft Singapore, the game is scheduled to launch on July 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Ubisoft Store.
Unlike recent entries in the franchise, Ubisoft has emphasised that Resynced is not an RPG; it remains a character-driven, solo action-adventure true to the original’s roots.

DEVELOP:BRIGHTON Develop:Brighton is the only event in the UK that brings the entire game-making industry together - from micro indies to global studio superstars - to learn from each other, share ideas and experiences, network and do business in a friendly and inclusive environment.
The 2025 event attracted a huge 5,500 attendees and we can’t wait to welcome the games industry back this year, on the 20-year anniversary of Develop:Brighton.
The 2026 programme is already starting to take shape, and we are thrilled to announce some brilliant speakers, with more to be confirmed very soon. The programme will have something for everyone - with tracks covering every discipline of game making. Our focus for 2026 will continue to be delivering practical takeaways and vocational content to give you the chance to “skill-up” and do what you do even better. CULDCEPT BEGINS I’ll be honest I didn’t know this title, but having been invited to a hand-on demo day (see IRL this issue) I was pretty taken with this modern version of the game. It launches worldwide on Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch, with a PC (Steam) version following later that year. Developed by Neos Corporation, this is the first entirely new entry in the cult-classic digital board game and deck-building franchise in ten years. It’s oft described as Monopoly meets Magic: The Gathering, and I’ve got to be honest – I couldn’t have put it better!
