CDS Release an Exploded-View Animated Video for their Ruggedised Custom Monitors and Solutions [Rochester, Kent] Crystal Display Systems LTD today announced the release of their new animated video which shows a “behind the framework” scenes of their example custom designed ruggedised monitor, using a real-life example from a 2019 project. CDS believe that every engineer should have the chance to custom design their own monitor, and therefore offer customers a one-stop-shop for design builds.

“This was an exciting and challenging project, built in close collaboration with the client, based on a detailed scope and a targeted budget. The challenges included building a system, that met

the requirements of this scope whilst also keeping to a budget to make the system viable in the application. The system was built to budget and delivered on time.” says Tony Large, Technical Director at Crystal Display Systems LTD.

High frequency surface mount chip terminations offer excellent broadband performance Smiths Interconnect’s new CTX SMT provides wide coverage and optimized return loss Smiths Interconnect, a leading provider of technically differentiated electronic components, subsystems, microwave and radio frequency products announced today the release of its new CTX SMT series of high frequency surface mount chip terminations. “Higher frequency, reduced footprint by as much as 4 times, patented layout, and the capability to produce in high

volumes make our new terminations a unique offering in the marketplace”, says Paul Harris, VP of Sales and Marketing. Several qualifi cation tests have been completed to ensure long term reliability in critical applications, including thermal shock, burn, RF over temperature, low temperature operation, high temperature exposure, peak power, and solder mount integrity. The results have confi rmed that CTX SMT design and RF performance are ideal to support RF and microwave applications in Defence, Space, Aerospace and 5G broadband demanding market segments. www.smithsinterconnect.com

UK manufacturing, the future for CamdenBoss 2020 saw further efforts by CamdenBoss to bring the manufacturing of their enclosures back to UK shores. UK manufacturing not only helps improve lead times for customers, but also provides far greater quality control and a refi ned supply chain when delivering those all-important parts. CamdenBoss is also keen to improve its environmental impact and, by producing many of its core products in the UK, moves towards a greener future.

These changes have opened up opportunities to improve and modernise legacy enclosure products such as the 2000 Series General Purpose ABS Enclosures and

more recently the 1100 Series Recessed Electronics Enclosures. Paired with a strong line up of new products such as the 1500 Series Universal Smart Enclosure, Easy Assembly Electronics Enclosure and the Hex-Box IoT Enclosure, the bar has been raised and sets the standard for CamdenBoss and its engineered enclosure solutions throughout 2021. ETAL Group announces plans to manage Brexit supply chain

Ditchling, Sussex, 2 December 2020 – ETAL Group, a world leader in magnetic components for power and signal applications, is advising customers of its plans to minimise the risks of Brexit disruption to its supply chain in the UK, Europe and worldwide. The Group is well-structured to protect customers from any impact due to the fact that it manufactures in and sources from not only the UK and Europe, but also Asia, with a recent expanded, purpose-designed factory opening in Piliyandala, Sri Lanka.
