Turn cold into cosy
Winter is coming! As temperatures begin to fall, consumers will increasingly turn their attention to effective home heating solutions. ERT’s Will McGill has been gauging the temperature of the market.

Thrones, “Winter is coming”, and much like the books and TV series, it’s crucial to prepare for the cold months ahead and understand how to meet consumer demand. So, what’s going to get people hot under the collar this year?! Bluestem Group’s Igenix brand offers a wide range of air treatment solutions to keep homes warm and comfortable this Winter – everything from portable oil-filled radiators to wall-mounted panel heaters, meaning there’s something for every household. Plus, Igenix also offers outdoor heating solutions that will allow consumers to take advantage of their gardens in the transition towards the cooler months. Consumers are concerned not only about staying warm but also about preventing mould and dampness, which are more common due to closed windows and doors. Igenix’s range of dehumidifiers is designed to eliminate condensation by removing excess moisture from the air, which helps prevent the buildup of damp and mould. This also offers a practical alternative to tumble drying by using air-drying processes for freshly washed clothes. It can be controlled remotely through the Smart Life app and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
A cleaner living space
Recognising the importance of indoor air quality, Igenix has also introduced air purifiers to help consumers create a cleaner living space. These are ideal for providing year-round relief from allergy or asthma symptoms.
The Igenix Smart Air Purifier (IG9600WIFI), compatible with Alexa and Google, features a three-stage HEPA filter that removes 99.7 per cent of pollution, allergens, and dust from the air, including unpleasant odours.
An LED screen displays the current mode and temperature, while colour-coded light sensors indicate air quality.
